Great indoor camera with fabbo night vision and detection alerting.
Excellent camera for a the price. Using indoors only, and tried as a "deterrent" with it watching outside. View was excellent and great quality picture and playback from SD card but at night utterly pointless as it reflected back off the window even with no lights selected on camera. But we had mice and it's been sat in the loft for a month now in eternal darkness and picture is excellent (b & w of course), but motion detection is just fabulous and alerts us even if a moth flies around. Been able to plan where to put traps and it tells us whenever any of the little unwanted squatters bite the dust so they're not rotting up there.

Exceeded expectations
This is a great item, which exceeded my expectations. I didn’t fully read the specs before buying - I already have some Tapo products which work well, and this seemed cheap for an indoor camera so I just ordered it, as I only wanted something to check in on the puppy with when we were out. This is set up in our hallway, where the dog mainly sits waiting while we’re out. As with other Tapo products, setup was a doddle, and it uses the same Tapo app as the lightbulbs. Alexa detected and added it automatically. The picture quality is great, even in night mode, and it zooms in well. Sound quality is good. I don’t use the recording function so I can’t comment on that, but I see you can pay for a cloud recording service or use an SD card to record. The camera has a ‘follow’ function, so when it detects motion it will twist to follow the dog, which works well, and it then returns to the original position. An unexpected benefit is the smart action options in the app which enable you to trigger various actions in other Tapo products. I’ve set this up as a motion sensor light switch. If it detects motion after midnight and between sunrise, it will turn on a Tapo lightbulb in the living room for a set amount of time (I’ve set it to five minutes). This is handy if we have to get up to let the dog out (which we do via the patio doors in the living room) - walking through the hallway after midnight turns on the living room light for five minutes. Considering the price, I think this is an excellent product.

Excellent Indoor Security Camera – Clear, Reliable, and Great Value
The Tapo C210 2K 3MP Pan/Tilt indoor camera is an excellent home security solution and offers fantastic value for money. The video quality is impressively sharp, with clear 2K resolution that makes it easy to see fine details both during the day and at night. The pan and tilt functionality works smoothly and gives great room coverage, while the motion detection and tracking are accurate and responsive. Setup was quick and straightforward using the Tapo app, which is intuitive and easy to navigate. I also really appreciate the two-way audio and the option for local storage via microSD, which avoids ongoing subscription costs. Notifications are timely, and the camera has been very reliable since installation. Overall, this is a well-designed, feature-rich indoor camera that performs far better than expected for the price. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve home security. We take this away with us when we holiday in the UK with our dog to monitor her.

Great Starting point but leaves you wanting slight improvements
So first of all I got this to watch what my cats are doing at night and also because I expect myself to be away from home and with an pet sitter soon so got these to also double up as security and checking in on the cats myself. They honestly work great as 1080p video recording devices that track movement and can see in the dark. The bitrate of the video does feel low (so a bit of pixelation) and the audio is not good at all (input and output audio) however nothing that will make it impossible or unclear as to what is going on. I did get two C225 (which on paper are better) since I impulse purchased this 2 pack C200 however in my opinion the C200's have much better video quality and framerate while not having any heat problems/concerns. (so the C225's are getting returned) Where it does falter is it's advertised setup as the tilt downwards is my SOLE biggest complaint and problem with this since it can't look down far enough that you can have it on a shelf above shoulder height and expect it to capture the floor within an 1 meter radius of it. This all changes when you turn it upside down or even tilt it roughly 45-60 degrees as it can then nearly see the floor at the base of the shelf as it's ability to look up is slightly short of seeing the roof. As a result I wished this came with an ramp mount alongside an wall/ceiling screw in mount. If it's size/shape was better like the C225 then it would be better as that has it's tilt go even higher along with just generally looking nicer and slightly shorter. It's easy to use in the app once you look around everything and nothing (as of writing) is locked behind an paywall or subscription other than having the data the camera captures being stored on TAPO's servers which you can easily bypass via inserting an SD card. I put an 128GB one into mine and over the past 3 days not even over 5GB's have been used. I do have privacy mode enabled whenever I am awake as I'm usually at home so it only has recorded at night time when my cats move around. (Does mean that if someone breaks the SD card after breaking it then they destroy all evidence) That said I do believe that with an adjustment to the software it would be possible to further reduce the space usage as you can't use the app to delete videos stored on the SD card without reformatting it which wipes all the data on it. Additionally when they detect enough movement and start recording, even if the movement is only 5 seconds the recording doesn't stop until an full minute of recording passes. So yeah I would love to see a way to delete recordings and be able to reduce the time after no movement is detected that the recording ends as I have a lot of recordings now of my cats slightly stretching (as I need to have the sensitivity at 8-9) for 5 seconds and then nothing for the rest of the minute and 5 second long recording. (It would also be nice if I can change how long till the camera reset's its position) The night vision of these cameras is great as for me I can clearly see the other side of my living room which is roughly 5 meters long so I don't currently believe it's a lie that it can do maybe 9 meters. Although if something is too close then it can become the brightest object and make the rest of the room become complete darkness so make sure nothing is too close to it. The same goes for light coming in from windows that it can trick the cameras to not switch to night mode until much later or in daylight mode make the rest of the room a bit darker. In conclusion if you are wanting a good starting point or don't know what to go for with an indoor security camera then I fully recommend this. Although if you really want to use it for security then make sure you find a good spot for it to go upside down and hidden since it's lights are very noticeable, especially in night vision mode when recording. As the app not locking anything but cloud storage behind it's subscription is a massive plus too which is also cheap if you decide to purchase the subscription.

Great quality for the price – works exactly as described
I’ve been using this TP-Link Tapo camera for a while, and it works perfectly for home monitoring. The image quality is clear, even at night, and the motion detection is very responsive. The app is easy to use — I can check the live view or recorded clips anytime from my phone. The camera moves smoothly when controlled through the app, and the setup took only a few minutes. The build quality feels solid, and the design is clean and modern, fitting well into the room. ✅ Pros: clear image, smooth rotation, reliable motion alerts, easy setup ❌ Cons: none so far Highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable indoor camera.
