They grind well and hold up. They don't seem to glaze and do a good job at removing metal. They aren't as good as 3M cubitron II but are less than half the cost. My college welding class switched to the silver over Sait brand will not go back.

With 3M I don’t have to worry about a perfect fit or balance issues. Grinding wheel malfunctions doesn’t happen often but can be traumatic when they do. I mostly use these grinding wheels during welding processes like cleaning metal before welding, removing defects in my weld, and cleaning up splatter, smoothing corners and edges and such. And they work great for that and I’m sure they would work great for any application dealing with grinding on steel. I’ve used the cheaper ones and they have they’re place I suppose, but for quality fit, performance, longevity, and piece of mind, these 3M grinder discs are the better value. You know what you are getting with these.

These things eat through steel. They cut fast and wear slow. Definitely worth the extra buck each over the cheap ones.

Not near as fast at removing mild steel as my cheap amazon flap discs. I got these because everyone says they remove material faster than other options. We did a side by side using three different grinders. (two Metabo and one Dewalt) In all three cases the flap discs removed material 9-16% faster than these did. These do last longer than a flap disc by about 50% so if value is what you are looking for then these would be the better choice. If you value your time and the hourly rate you are paying your employees then stay away from this product. I pay my employees far more than the savings of using a disc for 50% longer. The labor time more than exceeds the saving of the grinding wheel vs a flap disc. The flap discs we are comparing these to are not name brand just something called Work Pro and they are cheap. We have been using them for about four or five years in a heavy welding fabrication environment without issues.

Work well for the price

These turned out to be better than expected, quick material removal and still last. Diablo is normally my go to but now when I need to quickly remove metal I’ll be using these.

These wheels last much longer than Harbor Freight wheels. They don't seem to pickup material as much. If you are doing a bunch of grinding it is worth buying.

Not worth it

Extremely aggressive grinding wheel. Saved me a lot of time. Well worth the money and they last forever. Way better than maximum and even bosch.
