I am so so happy that I've stumbled across this icing. WOW. I used to struggle to make up my own buttercream/icing with mixed results. Sometimes it was ok, sometimes it was a disaster. I struggle to find products that are allergy-friendly too and nut free. I spent hours trying to find something I could use to ice cakes as the previous supplier I was using have stopped sending them to the UK. ..So I tried this icing out the other day, to pipe some cupcakes for our anniversary. Straight out of the pot, the consistency was perfect and I was able to put it directly into a piping bag. Admittedly it did start to get ever so slightly less thick as it grew warmer, but I was able to ice a big batch of cakes successfully. The taste is just how I like it - quite sweet and very vanilla-y. I was worried I would have to add some vanilla essence but I didn't need to! The cakes have also kept nicely in the fridge - icing has hardened nicely but not too hard. I really think this Betty Crocker is a life saver. It will save me so much time and energy. I can't wait to try using it for a larger cake! Yay!

I recently purchased this icing for cake decoration, and I’m quite pleased with it so far! It’s very easy to apply and works beautifully for achieving a smooth, polished finish. The taste is good as well, though I find it a little too sweet for my preference. One of the standout features is how well it blends with food colouring, making it perfect for creating customised designs. Overall, it’s a great product, and I’ll definitely continue using it.
