Great radio for a bargain price!
I usually leave reviews if an item or a seller were above or seriously below my expectations. In this case I'm pleased to say it is the former. I own several other shortwave and emergency radios, all of which cost me a lot more than this Lijiani. I was very surprised to find that both the FM ans WBs seriously outperformed many of my other portables. SW was ok on the attached antenna, but picked up some when I added a short retractable line. The equalizer settings are a nice touch, and you can adjust the frequency steps on some bands. I wish I could pick up the time frequencies but for $56 I'm good. Dual power options are a bonus, and the build quality seems surprisingly good. If you have an older version a firmware update may be available. My only disappointment is that I can't use Bluetooth headphones. If you're on the fence about this oddly named portable, I'd say it's worth a chance! Best wishes! JP

Great little radio
This radio does everything I wanted and then some. Solid build and easy to figure out with help from the manual. Good reception on all bands, yes, even AM. Good sound from speaker and greatStereo from earbuds/headphones. I use a 64gb tf card for the music that lasts for hours. I like this radio so much that I purchased the new version twin and it's just as good. For the price, these are a good value.

No way to control volume
Great little radio. The only problem is, there is no volume control on this radio or if there is, I cannot find it and it’s not in the instructions. The radio will blast you out of the room even for its small size.

I really like this radio, its got a nice feature set, at a low cost.
I like the radios yellow amber display, its easy on the eyes at night in a darkened room. Its keys are backlit which is a big plus. It comes with a nice flashlight built in. It uses 3 AA or BL-5C Batteries, both are relatively inexpensive and easy to find on Amazon. The radio is easy to tune. Its speaker has good sound quality. Its FM band reception is really good. Its able to pickup the local FM stations. Its AM band reception is OK for the strong stations. It can pickup some of the distant local radio stations. The radios digital display is generating noise that is present on the AM and SW bands. The manufacturer should include better internal filtering on the radio or at least add a switch to turn off the display when needed for better reception. Its SW band reception quality was not good. With its antenna extended It was able to receive WWV on 10, 15 and 20 MHz but the received signal was weak with lots of noise that was internally generated by the radio. While at the same time my QODOSEN DX-286 Portable Radio was able to pick up WWV loud and clear on those frequency’s.The radio picked up NOAA weather just fine. I didn’t test the Aircraft band because the radio does not have squelch and I didn’t want to listen to static waiting for a signal.I really like this radio, its got a nice feature set at a low cost. If the developer of the radio improves the noise issue with AM and SW bands then this would be a excellent radio.

Very good! Do know that it's not handcranked though!
For survival purposes, it’s good to own a shortwave radio. The Lijiani V3.3 VER Shortwave Radio AIR/VHF/AM/FM/SW/Weather Bands is a multi-purpose radio that is meant to be small and for those who don’t need a big bulky shortwave radio. The radio can take three AAA batteries, but a rechargeable battery with a USB Type-C cable is included. So, the radio comes with the AM (amplitude modulation – medium wave) /FM (frequency modulation – wide-band) radio that many people are familiar with. It also comes with the seven NOAA radio station broadcast frequencies in the VHF Public Service band: 162.400 megahertz (MHz), 162.425 MHz, 162.450 MHz, 162.475 MHz, 162.500 MHz, 162.525 MHz, and 162.550 MHz.Short Wave is between 5.9 Mhz and 26.1 MHz. So, shortwave broadcasts from Earth’s surface are reflected to the upper atmosphere and can travel great differences. With this device, you probably want to stand outside at various times (especially at night) and test the frequencies and if you do hear something, check a site like short-wave[dot]info and type in the frequency and see what you can hear. You may hear a broadcast from China, Russia, Korea, USA or some country.Perhaps one of the biggest selling points of this radio is the fact that it offers AIR frequencies, a function you would often see in a few ham radios, but this radio allows you to access 108-117.95 MHz and 118-136.975 MHz air frequencies. For those who live near airports, will probably have more need for this function. Now, seeing the numbers, you would think you could enter the frequency and you are good to go.Granted, it’s OK with the antenna provided for SW but I will admit, I was excited because when I saw the numeric keys, I thought you could physically enter the numbers of a frequency by pressing the corresponding buttons, but the numbers are only for quick presets. You have to use the dial on the side. The radio is black and has an orange backlit. The left side features a flash light (switch on the back), aux in and headset ports on the right side. You can use this device for various things such as an alarm clock, sleep timer, reading lamp and more. Also, underneath is a media player (via U drive or TF card) and it also has bluetooth receiver capabilities. And also buttons that are using to scan frequencies and volume (decrease/increase) and band, step, frequency and record. It’s important to note that this battery relies on the rechargeable battery or AA batteries, this device can NOT be handcranked. So, if handcranked matters to you, then this device is not for you.Overall, if you are looking for a small, solid shortwave radio with a lot of extras (but has no numeric pad to enter frequencies), then check out the Lijiani V3.3 VER Shortwave Radio AIR/VHF/AM/FM/SW/Weather Bands. You definitely get your money’s worth at $57! So, for a shortwave radio with airband frequencies at this size and pricepoint, it’s definitely worth it.

Great SW radio
This radio is quite good. I appreciate the option of plugging it in or using the rechargeable batteries. The battery is reasonably priced for a shortwave radio that also picks up air frequencies. The orange LED screen is bright and the included flashlight is a nice touch. The radio scans frequencies very quickly! Reception is good on most bands; I find the air band reception to be the weakest, but that also depends on your distance from the airport. Overall, it's a great radio for the price, especially compared to other shortwave radios on the market.
