I love Tamiya products, and this one is no different. I use it to seal D&D miniatures and custom doll faces. The main problem I have had with other clear coats is that they dissolve the acrylic paint I use for projects like these. However, as long as this is properly shaken up it has never so much as smeared a detail. It coats perfectly matte, and dries quickly. I have found that you can often get away with a single coat as well, which saves time and money.

i know the can is small but i wasnt expecting to run out of the spray so quickly!! make sure you get enough cans to last for your project because i ran out halfway :( the spray is good though!! leaves a beautiful matte finish

Not nearly as touchy as most mattes. I Always used Testors Dullcote. This blows dulcote out of the water. It's instant, dries quick, and even in suboptimal Temps, while doing a rushed, sloppy job (I was in a pinch), the finish was FLAWLESS and velvety matte. Not an ounce of sheen. Seems pretty durable, too.I've been totally converted

This stuff is amazing. Somehow it increases contrast levels ever so slightly. Be aware it will dull down any gloss finish such as 'Ardcoat or Nurgle's Rot.

Yes, it will change the color of what you spray it on, but that matte finish really does look good. Whatever you do, make sure you have GOOD LIGHTING so you can tell if you've got an even coat! Very easy to spray too much and end up with a bit of pooled yuck! The black wings look especially gorgeous once coated.
