I was using a fanny pack style running belt with a slot for a water bottle for the longest, but wanted something that I didn’t have to reach around and fiddle with removing and reinserting. This bottle is pretty decent for the price point, feels durable, leak proof, comfortable to hold (my hand palm to tips is about the size of an iphone16 pro for reference). Used it today on my 6.5 miler and it was good. Zippered portion is not huge but I was able to fit my key fob with an AirTag in it fine. I hate holding things on my run but I wasn’t super annoyed with this since the adjustable band is snug enough on my hand so I don’t need to actively be squeezing it to hold it. It hold 16oz so weight wise it’s similar to holding a water bottle, slightly heavier.

I am a trail runner and have owned several of the larger amphipod bottles for YEARS. They are my absolute favorite for handhelds (I also wear a pack and ditch the handhelds if longer runs or keep one handheld filled with electrolytes and pure water in my hydration bladder). I didn't think they could improve things and now this one has come along. Some days I don't as much water so this size is a nice smaller version that fits in my hand nicely. Love the neoprene sleeve- it is thin and yet effective as it keeps my sweaty paws off the bottle and insulates to keep it cooler or warmer depending on what you put in it. I recently discovered putting hot water (with or without tea or electrolytes) for my winter runs and it mimics the experience of drinking hot tea on a cold day while running. The older neoprene had a zipper pouch supposedly for energy gels, keys, what-have-you which I never used and just added bulk and excessive annoying weight if utilized. The spout is the biggest improvement as it is much user friendly to squirt the water into your mouth versus the older version of using your teeth or other hand (usually my teeth which I know could damage them some day!) to pop open the valve, suck, them slam the spout closed with other hand or hip. This new version is much easier to use and better on my teeth. I'm already looking at replacing my larger amphipod bottles with the new designed lids and spouts.

Great design but the hole in lid did not work. Returned.

Really like using this. Coming from Nathan which I loved, but this is easier to clean and seemingly more durable. Fits great in my hand and like the small zipper pouch it has.

My husband is training for his first marathon and this is the perfect shape to allow him to carry water with him on his longer runs. It's easy to use and is great value for the money. He has only used it a few times so I'm not sure how well it will hold up over a long period of time but we have no complaints at all and he is glad I purchased this for him!
