Works for the back porch.
Works like a bug zapper-Not too noisy it only snaps or pops on the death of a pest. It plugs into the wall 120v AC, cord is about 4' draws small amount of energy 15w for the light and whatever the zap it uses. I leave it on day and night, I am in Fl and the only thing that is more evasive than the bugs are the weeds.I have not hung out there since I plugged it in, Summer in Florida is like a wet abyss. She says that when she blows a smoke out back they are not hitting her like they used to (on the legs). So it seems to attract and eliminate. The unit is light weight, has a hook to hang it.

A great buy. Highly recommend it!
Works like a charm! A few minutes after we plugged it in, it started zapping mosquitoes. The lamp is lightweight and not too bulky. It doesn't have an off/on switch. You just plug it in and... bye, bye flying pests! We live near the beach and quite close to a marshy area, so our lamp stays on for about 10 hours a day, until we turn the air conditioner on in the evening (we like to enjoy the sea breeze all day long). So, even if this lasted only for a couple of years (which was the case with our previous zapper from ANOTHER brand, mind you), it would be well worth every penny.

Pretty effective murderer of bugs
These are pretty effective and satisfying. I bought two of them, I used one of them on my back porch while sitting in my hot tub. It killed so many moths it started to small like burnt hair from over 10ft away. Haha My older bug zapper doesn't kill bugs like these ones do. The design of the zapper part is a lot better. I think the gap is smaller so smaller bugs have a higher chance of getting zapped.

Lifesaver for My Kitchen!
A few weeks ago, I started noticing way too many mosquitoes flying around my kitchen — especially in the evenings. It was getting super annoying and honestly kind of gross. I came across this insect-killing lamp and decided to give it a try, and wow, what a difference!Within the first night, I could already see results — several mosquitoes were gone. I’ve been using it every day since, and my kitchen is finally bug-free. I love that it’s quiet, doesn’t use any harsh chemicals. Highly recommend if you’re dealing with mosquitoes or small flying bugs. It’s such a simple solution, but it works!

Well made.
I gave this a four star because it looks well made, and would probably work well outside. However, I was trying to get rid of closet moths which is NOT its advised use. A few people said it did catch moths, but They were probably outside moths. it didn’t catch in my closet any after 3 nights.. I was just hoping:)

Does NOT kill most sizes of bugs. :\
Product fail: The protective mesh around the Light-Of-Death for insects is too tightly wound; meaning only the tiniest of insects even makes it into the zapper, leaving all the regular sized bugs laughing at it. They're all attracted to it like some sort of insect disco ball. Flys definitely love this thing as they are safe as can be. Even mosquitos with high cholesterol can't fit into the death machine. Now it's just a bug party. All the insects laugh at me now, as the occasional gnat gets zapped, yet I've unwittingly started the next insect rave. F on the design. F on functionality.
