Would not turn on so returned for another one thinking it was a defective one. Now the second one is doing the same thing. Will not turn on. So now returning and looking for a different one.

Accurate, works without WiFi but I would love for the manufacturer to add ACCESSIBILITY for the Blind. I gifted this device to a blind person who needs to communicate with Spanish speakers but he needs help to turn it on and off WiFi, he also recommended to add a SPEED and Tone buttons for people to repeat the other language slowly to be able to learn the other languages.

Looked like a good product at first, but it was complicated to set up and needs internet to work properly pretty much all the time... Then the screen broke when it was in my pocket. Less than 24 hours later. Returned it the next day.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered the translator, as I’ve used phone-based apps with mixed results and issues. I was surprised at how well it’s worked with a few different languages, and my sister, a teacher who works in East Los Angeles with a large Hispanic community, is considering getting one, too. Overall, I feel that this works REALLY WELL. I’ve found that in the few languages I’ve tested with fluent speakers, such as Japanese, Filipino, Spanish, and Chinese, it has an accuracy of about 98-99%. I’ve mainly used the primary device with the speaker as it’s faster than putting on the earbuds, but the earbuds work fine, too, and help to have a more natural conversation. The device has a simple A/B button to push depending on who’s talking, and the translation is almost instantaneous. It’s incredible how quickly it translates compared to the phone apps I’ve used. It’s also great that there’s an offline mode with 15 languages, making it perfect when traveling when you may or may not have a phone signal. I wish it could load some of the languages only available when connected to the internet and remove other languages from the 15 preloaded ones; that way, I’d be able to use different languages without the internet when traveling. With the earbuds, I had some issues connecting it, as it had trouble pairing, but after a few times, it paired. There’s also a built-in ChatGPT prompt, which may or may not be as helpful, as I’ve used it very little. This translator device is awesome as it works quickly, doesn’t always need to be connected online, and the translation accuracy is almost perfect.

The battery does not last very long- and after a while from November to January- the item just stopped working

It’s so convenient and powerful to use. I bought this translator to learn Spanish. It’s not just a translator. It’s a true Smart Assistant! It even comes with a recording function which can help me hear back my voice. I can learn any words with this AI powered algorithm. It really encourages me to learn more languages with it!

There is no customer service number to call and I have not been able to get them to work in any mode or even to find a button for the two modes and the directions tell you things are supported in an area that doesn’t exist

This is a benefit especially when you require your phone for other purposes. Being able to communicate better and eliminating barriers between languages was a futuristic concept, like the universal translator from Star Trek®. Having a standalone system, such as this, does open up many doors. For me, it is being able to enjoy TV shows that are not English. Mind blowing for me just to be able to understand what is being said, even if not 100% perfect, but accurate enough to understand the concept. This works both online and offline and there are more languages included than I will likely ever need. The built in screen is what makes this one work well for me. With other translation tools with earbuds, you need to SHARE an earbud with a stranger to use effectively...um no? With the simple interface, you select the two languages and it works by pressing the associated button to the language and it translates on screen. The earbuds do also work if you are listing to a video, the translation is heard in the earbuds. You an also use them just as earbuds and connect as you would with regular buds. All in all, this is a great system for travellers, businesspeople, or anyone that works with people that may speak languages other than you native language. I found that it worked surprisingly well and I am really happy with the results. Recommended.
