Put one of these on my settee it went straight in no problems whatsoever and work really well and a great price

The media could not be loaded. Good item , but the sofa’s recliner cable that attaches to this recliner mechanism , has a metal collar near the end of it.This metal collar has to slip into this mechanism . But the groove that the metal collar slips into isn’t wide enough, so using a pair of wire snips I cut the metal to widen the groove. That allowed the cable collar to slip into this part perfectly.I then continued to connect the rest of the cable to the mechanism , & attached the retaining clip that I had kept when I disassembled the original mechanism .I then placed the mechanism into place but because it was a tight fit I tapped it into place using a mallet, before screwing in the original screws back into place , from the original mechanism.I’ll include photos to help show what I mean.
