Easy, fast and strong.
Effortless set up. It is my main router connected with a 2.5G backhaul Ethernet cable to my BT6. For me it is a really user friendly interface. No dead spots in my house anymore. I actually had to turn down the transmit power as it was overpowering everything to clean up the signal and got even faster speeds. No issues with dropped connections. Just be sure to update the firmware on the main router and Node as it appears to have fixed some earlier issues. I highly recommend it.

Terrible Mesh System
I purchased this system to replace my 3 node Eero system. When its working, the WiFi is much faster than my previous Eero system. However, it drops connection frequently and videos playing on remote devices buffer frequently when they didn't before. I contacted support via their app and got no response. Then I contacted support thru their chat and was suggested to make some adjustments. Some of the adjustments weren't even options I had with my system. And as part of the adjustments, I was going to lose the connection with the representative. They said that was correct, and to just contact them back if needed; no way to restart my conversation with the same representative. No information was requested about the number of nodes or locations, it seems very scripted, as if they have this issue frequently. I haven't contacted Asus back yet, as I expect I'll get some boiler plate script rather than specific advice. Not sure yet if I will return the product or keep looking for assistance.I also had to set up a new subnet, it wouldn't work with my existing router's IP's as the previous system did. So, I had to manually reconnect several devices... still doing that. When plugging one of my IP cameras into one of the nodes with a wireless connection, it didn't work like it did with the previous setup. I had to adjust settings in the router and the camera to finally get it to work.Bottom line, I would not buy this system. The Eero system was much easier for setup. I just plugged it in and it worked. The reason I replaced was for additional speed and Asus's additional control for my children's devices, which doesn't require a subscription thru Asus like their competitors do. That is the only reason I haven’t returned it yet.. I’m really hoping I can get it dialed in.

Excellent speed and coverage
I’ve been using 3 of the ASUS mesh nodes for two months now with my new symmetric gigabit fiber service, and couldn’t be happier. I have a 4600 square foot house with 3 floors and do feel that while 2 nodes would provide OK coverage, getting the best speed required 3. When in the same room as one of the nodes, I get the full speed of the fiber though it drops off slightly in the next room due to signal attenuation. Also I went into the web UI (not just the app, which is missing this setting) to enable OFDM and MIMO for both upstream and downstream to get the best performance. Also the ability to support a USB 3 HDD as a NAS drive for Apple TimeMachine was key to me. It works fine.Great product, very stable and reliable, easy to setup, great value, stellar performance. Highly recommend!

No Stable Enough
Is it fast? Sure.Unfortunately, I don't care about having a bit more speed if the connections aren't stable. I upgraded from an older wifi 6 2-piece system to this, and the dropouts for my cameras and PS5 increased at least 10 fold. I went from every few days of a camera losing signal for no more than 30 minutes to daily dropouts lasting over 6 hours.I'd recommending waiting a few more years for these wifi 7 systems to mature.

Works, is mostly easy to setup, but for this price, it should be better
This is not significantly better than the Eero setup I bought for a friend. Speed tests were not what I expected. Some of the setup was unnecessarily confusing. All around, I would say that this was DRAMATICALLY overpriced for what I got. I've read reviews that suggest it's pretty solid. I hope I get decent connectivity out of it. But I'm giving it a week and if it's not knocking my socks off, I'm returning it.I would not recommend it. There are other options that are cheaper that likely give the same performance. Honestly, that Eero was EASIER to setup since you put the nodes where they're going to be whereas this wants them next to each other through the setup. Then it wouldn't find them. The quick start poster didn't have a lot of 'what if this happens' so it's all happy path.Anyway, I'm not impressed. If you're on the fence, find something else.

Absolutely great signal
The installation was very brutal. I would not recommend this on anyone not trained in network technology. My 5 min install lasted for over 6 hours before these machines woke up to work correctly. First failure was that ALL Apple devices in this home would not connect to it. Android had no problem. PCs had no problem.Firmware upgrade solved the problem, and all three units began to work VERY WELL. The instructions were less than poor and a person not trained in network technology would probably fail. Side note: all devices having dedicated IP address had to be altered because this router altered the Address Pattern that has been used here for 20 years.

Fantastic
I upgraded from a TP-Link Deco AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System that I got in 2022.Setup was super easy. Range is superior - I went from 4 units with TP-Link to 3 units with the ASUS and I have better coverage.Speed is absolutely stunning. I didn't upgrade any of my devices WiFi adapters but my speed on download is about 5x faster (40 to 200 MBPS). Upload is limited heavily by my ISP so I cannot compare there (5 MBPS). I have no complaints at all... have not used any of the more advanced features but there is a ton of stuff in there.

Fast speed but drop signal
The positive, super fast wifi. I get the gig speed on my wifi 7 devices. The negative, it drops a lot. very short drops that you need to reconnect again. you wont notice if you stream a movie since there is buffering. But on live calls like zoom/teams you get periods of blackout that is super annoying. drops like once or twice a day.
