I can't write an honest review because I have not used this one yet; however, I CAN write a logical about this reel, based off it's bigger brother. IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT connect this reel to any kite that pulls more than 1 pound. (I am horrible with weighing) I was using its bigger brother today. I was close to 100 yards out, the wind 5mph, kite pulling 6 pounds. As I was reeling it in, the reel knob snapped off. lol What an adventure that was. lol So, with this reel, stick to children's kites only. Maybe use this on some cellular kites that barely gives any resistance. I am a huge fan of this company. All of my kites have come from them. The bigger reel I broke, most likely wasn't designed for the load I put it on. That is entirely my fault. I bought a couple of those 40" butterfly kites that we see on here, for my daughter's birthday. This reel will be PERFECT for them. Even the 50" butterfly kites would be perfect. (you get the point) Conclusion: Don't abuse it by putting a much larger kite that it's made for; and like anything. Take care of it, and it will take care of you. 😁 PS: Sorry I didn't provide a photo. In person it looks really nice, and I am very happy I made this purchase! I happy I purchased the larger reels also! 😁

So, I have to start this by saying it is a feat to make the simple enjoyable activity of kite flying into a nightmare fueled rage fest, but they did it here!! Starters there is no retention or tautness on the line unless you are managing it 24/7/365 because the nanosecond it falls a bit, the spool here dumps line all over your hands. Then after you have to cut the cord and retie it twice it manages to break itself on the looping part; this then went into the reel and caused another collapse/fail. I would return it, however in my rage I threw it and it’s now gone. Writing this review did help with the anger this absolutely awful “product” attempted though on a positive note. Would I recommend? NO Would I purchase again? NO

I purchased the Hengda Professional Outdoor Kite Line Winder hoping for a reliable kite reel. However, I found that the reel is too small for adult hands, making it difficult to use comfortably. I would recommend getting a product with a larger reel for better handling. Despite the size issue, I must say that this product is very durable and seems well-built. If it were larger, it would likely be an excellent choice. Unfortunately, due to its small size, it wasn’t the right fit for me.

Very small, quality feels low. Be careful when letting the string out and don’t let your hand slip or it will burn your hands.dont let kids use.

Much tougher than I was expecting. Reeling it in is difficult and nearly need someone to pull the line in to create some slack. It might be ok with a very small child’s kite though but with an adult sized kite it hurts my hands and feels like it might break.
