Dimensions Needlecrafts Counted Cross Stitch, Victorian Elegance

While I am not a very skilled cross stitcher, I have done some needlepoints in the past, none as detailed as this. I was hesitant since this is pretty difficult, but with some encouragement from my husband, I took the plunge - and im glad I did!!!! While I won't deny that this cross stitch is tedious and extremely detail-oriented, I am having a wonderful time working on it and watching it (slowly) transform into a beautiful work of art! Recommended to anyone who has the time and patience to work on a masterpiece!!

The instructions are not very well organized. On one page you have the numbers relating to the thread, on another page you have the color chart so you have to keep flipping back and forth to see which thread to use. I wound up photocopying the directions and glueing the thread number and color chart on a piece of cardboard with holes in it that I put the thread through . Made the project much lest frustrating.It is a beautiful piece once you complete it.

Absolutely love it! It is very challenging. I chose this project for the beautiful colors, knowing it would hold my interest--which it has! Not for a beginner but what a beautiful project for anyone else!

Purchased this as a gift and it's gorgeous. Can't wait to see it done.

I like it and it is very pretty.

I am not skilled enough to use the fabric provided in the kit. I sent an inquiry to Dimensions asking what the size would be if I stitched it on an alternative material and they responded that they did not know and referred me to the manufacturer. They informed me that they did not know either.Not at all helpful, as I later found there are conversion charts on the Internet which the people at Dimensions could have referred me to.

This is the most difficult kit I have ever embroidered but also the most stunning one I’ve ever done! I gave away the first one I made but liked it so much I bought another kit to make it for myself! So worth it and I am enjoying doing this a second time more than I did the first. I find that Dimensions are a little sparse on the thread allowance so I would recommend that you match the colours to DMC or Anchor threads before you get too low on a thread. Especially if you made a mistake and had to rip out a section. Also, I suggest one buys the kit with threads and not just the chart as it comes with threads, ribbons, beads, etc. It is a sparkly three dimensional embroidery that is simply stunning!

Its a nice set. However some of the instructions are in french, which makes it difficult to navigate. It would be easier if they put color # instead of color name in the chart. makes it hard to find what you need.
