Never thought of this as a Christmas gift, but I can see it. It's compact and can easily fit in a stocking. At any rate, this does what it's suppossed to do, remove screws that are stuck, and it does this at an affordable price, better than any other I saw at the time of purchase. Not sure why one would pay more, when this one does the exact same thing.

With old homes, it is a sure thing that you will run into a screw that refuses to come out. I used to have an extractor set, but shortly after starting a household project, my husband claimed he needed the extractor set in his toolbox for the next project. It's been 5 years, LOL! As a surprise to me, I received this set in my stocking and I love it. It's better than my old set, because there are more size options and it's in a case. I used the set on a few practice screws and I love how it works. I can't wait for our next project!BTW, I am not a man, but I did love getting it in my Christmas stocking and I find it to be an asset to my toolbox.
