Perfect for a small aquarium
This is very easy to use and works great for my micro aquariums. Just be sure to point the end with the arrow into the bucket. The arrow is kind of hard to see.

Works great on snail poop!
I have two 5 gallon tanks that the big siphon I use takes out too much water, before I can thoroughly clean the gravel. This little siphon works great!! Slow, so I can get out all the poop in the gravel before I get to my water limit. Love this little thing!! And the price $13, can’t beat it!

Does the job, very slowly, which is appropriate for a small tank
I have a few, recently set up nano tanks, (5-ish and 6-ish gallons) and needed a siphon for regular water changes. What can be said, is that this one does the job just fine for tanks of these sizes; slowly drains the water, and you have the option of using the small tip end to "vaccuum" the subsrate a bit, while keeping most small fish from being sucked in. I wouldn't risk it with fry, however. This kit also comes with an additional tip which has a tiny scrubby pad attached on one side and a brushy thingy at the end. IMO this is useless as it immediately gets clogged with larger bits of debris (one little leaf, seriously). The scrubby pad is also basically a joke. This tip will probably end up getting thrown out.Being a practical sort of aquarist, I simply reverse direction of the hose to siphon the clean, replacement water back in to the tank. It's great for this purpose as well, as the slow filling will prevent stirring up the substrate and clouding the water. In my experience, this siphon is a-okay for now. Perhaps later when larger tanks come into play, a more serious tank water changing system will be called for. This is alright for now, though.

Easy to use, reliable
I have smaller tanks (5 gallon and 20 gallon long). The rate of water flow with this works great for smaller size tanks. So far I've had this thing about 2 months, and used it every few days taking care of two tanks, and it's worked reliably every time

Junk- Doesn’t work
Didn’t work at all no matter how much I tried. No suction. Poor quality. Buy a different one and save yourself aggravation. The next brand I got worked great.

Very good!
Be careful when suction and gravel or large amounts of sand as it can clog then take tube. But once you get used to it, it works great especially for smaller tanks. I like to pinch it so I can control the strength of the section.

Doesn't work well.
It's fine for removing water, but if you want to vacuum up particles larger than a grain of sand, you'll need to order something else. The part you use to pump it is made of plastic, not rubber. I'm not sure how many times you can squeeze that without it cracking. It did get here with no damage and the instructions were pretty clear.

Gets the Job done
It's a little slow but that's because it's small but I like it over all it does what it says. For small tanks, I have a ten gal and it works perfect.
