CQR Quick Dry Tactical pants are a MUST HAVE!!! The fit and the number of pockets is amazing!!!
This review will be two-fold. Since CQR has all its styles under one page, I will review the CQR Runyon (2.5 out of 5 stars) and the CQR Rocky (4.5 out of 5). CQR Rocky Pants: These pants are LEGENDARY!!! Normally, I purchase 5.11 Taclite Pro Ripstop pants. But since they are a little more expensive and I had some extra $$$ in my Amazon account, I decided to try two new companies. From the moment I pulled these pants out of the bag, I knew I was going to LOVE them. I quickly removed the tags and tried them on. Now, I loved everything about these pants. They fit a little more snug through the thighs (I have thicker thighs), but they were not uncomfortable, and they weren't too tight. I love the vent holes (one on the inside by each knee and two up on the inside of the leg towards the crotch. The pocket layout is so intelligent. While both legs have the larger cargo pockets on the mid-thigh, they are both cut and designed differently. The left cargo pocket has a sewn flap, so you can quickly slide contents (glasses, keys, etc.) inside without fear of your contents falling out. But where they leveled up their game on the pockets is the right thigh pocket. Although it is not as big nor as deep as the left cargo pocket, it has a ZIPPER!!! This way if you have something you absolutely don't want to lose, you can rest assured the zipper is going to keep it in place. Since these pants are very thin (and breathable), the only thing I worry about is the durability. Since they are so thin, I worry about snagging them on something. Now, let me be clear: these pants are not sold as tactical ripstop pants. They are sold to or marketed for people who are going to be outdoors and want breathable hiking pants. I do need to see what other options they have in ripstop. I will definitely be researching to find out the different colors and styles they offer (Runyon has tons of colors, and unfortunately, the Rocky pants have a variety of colors, but they are mostly odd colors). The only criticism I have about these pants is the page on Amazon. They display three styles (Runyon, Rocky, & Rocky Z), but they don't have any detailed information about the differences between the three. I highly recommend these for wearing outdoors. Now, granted, you probably are not going to wear these during the colder months (unless you have tights on underneath), but the fit is absolutely legendary!!! Unfortunately for both of us (the manufacturer and the buyer), the khaki ones are not 20% off (probably because they are a popular selection). CQR Runyon pants: These pants are the stepchild to the Rocky pants. These are much thinner and already show signs of a lack of durability. The stitching is already coming apart on the cargo pants, and I've only owned these for about a month or so. My major con for these pants is that they are wrinkle magnets. You can put them right in the dryer after washing them, and pull them right out of the dryer, and they still look like I slept in them. The ironic thing about the

Versatile and well made
5'9" and about 165 lbs - 34/30 These pants are exactly what I need in Georgia. The vents on the legs are situated in a perfect spot (Can even accurately adjust a wedgie through them). The material is thin and breathable, but with long underwear the pants are a perfect outer layer and will keep you warm. I have worn these in 30-35 degree F weather, and in 70-80 degree F weather and the pants are great in both temp ranges. I also ride motorcycles, and these do not have any awkward snag points from bulky pockets or anything like that. The waist is also made with a bit of extra flex, so even at weird sitting positions, the pants fit properly. This brand offers 3 or more style, all of which I have tried. This is the best style CQR pants for flexibility in both movement and temperature ranges.

Good water resistance / nice breathability / durable
Bought these for both on the gun range, just general light pants to wear in AZ heat, and for June trip to Europe. Europe was hot and humid (part of it, anyway) and pants performed well. We took a bike ride in Salzburg, and it rained on and off. The pants remained dry. Water beaded. Unknown how they'd hold up in a heavy rain, but they stayed comfortable. Didn't get real sweaty. Pants didn't get smelly. Nice breathability. I bought these, because i'd already purchased another tan pair that I liked. Both came with me to Europe. So far, they are holding up well. Lots of walking in them and sitting on trains. No tears. Unknown their long term durability, but so far so good. One nice zip cargo pocket that does not protrude and one pocket with fold over top. Also, small slot for utility knife or extra mag.

Excellent Product - Order Length 2" Shorter Than Size Shown
I purchased these for a trip to Europe because most of the tours would not allow shorts or jeans in churches and religious sites. It was extremely hot and humid over there in June (and I live in Houston!). These were amazingly comfortable with plenty of pockets for travel. After hearing all of the warnings about pick pockets in European tourist areas I appreciated the front zipper pocket. It easily held a thin wallet and two passports with some protection against the bump and pick scams. I noticed these are flagged for frequent returns. I am pretty sure this is due to the fact that the size you get is about 2" longer than what the label shows. I reliably buy pants that are 32"L. The 32's arrived but were actually at least 34"L. I returned them for 30"L and they fit perfectly.
