Cheap and cheerful
These Vernier calipers are cheap and the quality isn't brilliant.Firstly they are difficult to read as the etching on the slide section is really faint and you need to catch it at the right angle to see it, secondly they are purely a push slide the image makes it look like it has a rotating thumb wheel for adjustment but it doesn't, you just have to physically push it up and down to make adjustment making it difficult to do fine movements.It comes in a small plastic case but one of the clips was broken off/missing on the one I received.I do like the locking knob which allows you to fix it in position if you need to mark a measurement a number of times but other than that to be honest it's not very good and I wouldn't recommend it if you need or want a accurate measurement, maybe consider it for very occasional use.

Much better available for similar money
These are functional but awful.They're easy enough to read, but the mechanism is not smooth, there are no bearings in use here, they don't even appear to have been lubricated. As a result, they don't slide smoothly, they bind up, they feel scratchy and gratey and plain nasty.I would say that they're fine because they're cheap and "you get what you pay for", but the reality is that you can get a much better pair of calipers for around the same money as these, also I would highly recommend a digital set for accuracy.

Skala ist sehr ungenau. Ein DIN-genormtes 12mm Kupferrohr hat laut dieser Schiebelehre einen Durchmesser von 12,8mm.
