Great read!
What a book!I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I heard about this home-fermentation trend. Frankly, I was concerned about food safety. Better to buy the fermented products I know and love, and save myself the time and effort, I thought. But frankly, after looking at my grocery bill, I was astonished at how much it can cost to buy a fermented food when you can make it yourself for next to nothing at home! Buying Greek yogurt, kombucha, sourdough, and sauerkraut at Whole Foods every week costs a truly astonishing amount of money. This book was lifesaver. Frankly, I had no idea what I was doing in the beginning, and I was terrified that I would accidentally poison everyone who entered my kitchen. But reading about how to ferment foods safely made me feel one hundred percent better about learning to ferment my own foods. This book was beautifully laid out, accessible, easy to read, and highly informative. Best of all, I learned all about the health benefits of fermented foods and look forward to enjoying them!

Very informative
I enjoyed this book and it was very informative. If you’re interested in fermentation, I would advise you to buy this book. I learned a lot about fermentation. One thing I learned was that fermented foods reduce plaque bacteria in the mouth. You want to lose some weight fermented food can help you with that. Another benefit is that it may prevent diseases like arthritis. Probiotic, which is in the fermented food, can reduce inflammation. The probiotic communicates with the cells that cause the inflammation. The book also tells you how fermented foods help with digestion. There is a chapter in the book that tells you everything you need to start the process. Things like a thermometer, airlocks etc. It gives you tips on how to create an incubator for the foods to ferment. There are a lot of easy to follow recipes. I had fun making ginger ale for the first time. If you buy the book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Kimche and beer for free!
There is a lot to know about fermented food. I happen to be a nut when it comes to Korean kimche and other stinky foods that are great tasting. It might seem like a paradox that something that smells as bad as these foods could taste great, but it is a fact. Think about it, beer is a fermented food. This book cites all the un-obvious health benefits of fermented foods. These I did not know. It boosts health and immunity through bacteria and microbial functions that sane people never consider. They filter toxins, aid in digestion and support your immune system. This is a very “Hands On” book that will teach you how to set up your own Monster Lab for your own safe and delicious “Stinky Food”. This is a step-by-step guide. I am already working on my own kimche. If you want to know the secrets of this process, give this book a once over.
