Mizuno Women's Wave Inspire 18 Running Shoe

I have to say, these are by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They look and feel great and are excellent quality. I've always worn the biggest brand but their quality is poor now and they slip on wet surfaces so I thought I'd try these out.I ordered my usual size (6.5 US) despite seeing a couple of reviews advising to order half a size up, but they were too snug. I ordered another pair half a size up and they were the perfect fit. I kept both and stretched out the smaller pair which now fit well but definitely order half a size up from your usual size. Width wise I found them to be wide enough (my feet are 3 1/4 inches at their widest).I use these for running (treadmill) and walking and they do well on both surfaces. They have cushioned insteps and are soft and comfortable while providing adequate support. So far they've maintained a good grip on slippery surfaces, including wet tile.I hope they don't stop making these because I'll definitely be buying them again. Highly recommend.

This is my second pair of shoes from Mizuno and I absolutely love them! They are extremely structured and supportive, even helping to correct my prolapsed arches. They are extremely comfortable and don't get too hot when running. They offer just enough tread to be great for asphalt and dirt roads for daily training. The shoes are very long lasting (5+ months with 30+ miles per week). I recommend these to everyone who wants to get into running, they can seem a bit heavy compared to other trainers, but don't weigh you down at all. These are my go-to for long runs, tempo, and recovery.

Although it is a nice looking shoe, it was too narrow. I ordered a wide and could hardly get my foot inside. The toes were tight and it seemed too short although I ordered my usual size.

Great support, excellent quality. It’s the only brand I buy and wear! Note- I always wear a size up in Mizuno for better fit.

We are in our 50s now and husband has really bad knees. He played a lot of sports unprofessionally when he was growing up and prefers to not medicate, and just keep going as far as exercise in general. He ordered the men's Mizuno Inspire 18s first about a year ago.He was running again, and taking longer walks and said it was all thanks to these shoes in men's. He wasn't having the knee pain he was once having and it was thanks to wearing these shoes and absorbing the impact. A year later he ordered me this pair.Wear 8 and he ordered so, and I couldn't be more please. I've upped my miles per month, attributing to a bit of weight lose, better health and no more knee pain. These shoes really absorb the impact. They are taller than most sneakers, but they are made for running. These easily work on light trails, sidewalks and paved roads.We don't wear shoes in the house and the house has carpet. We wear slip on shoes with socks and carpet still has padding and we are not having knee pain in the house either. Husband used to complain about his cowboy boots adding to the pain especially lower back pain too, when he wear them all day. Since the Mizuno Wave Inspire he doesn't wear them anymore and has rid his back pain as well.For the price, even though it seems steep, these are the way to go for everyday use.

I am a avid runner and have been for several decades. I exclusively only wear/run it Mizuno's because they have the comfort, support I need when putting in mileage. I would NEVER wear these as running shoes - the inside shoe specifically states these sneakers are ....WALK HERO. Here is why you should NOT use these as running shoes (in my opinion). The soles are not made for mileage, the cushioning inside squishes down immediately and with running putting 2-3 times your body weight on your feet - prepare yourself for a squished sole. The interior arch is there but again NOT strong enough to support the pounding your feet give when running. Also, there is minimal support on top of the foot. I believe that not only is arch support important but support surrounding the top portion of your foot to assure comfort and foot placement is a MUST. Also the soles of the sneaker and heal portion do NOT support pronation - which is essential for a RUNNER. I do love these sneakers for street walking and I use them exclusively for STREET WALKING. I do not run in them - one attempt to do such left me with shin splints and arches that ached for a week (I only ran 3.5 miles in them but never again). So DO NOT run in these sneakers unless your only intending on putting minimal and I mean less than a mile and you weigh less than 100lbs. They just are NOT suited for running. The color is great, the fit it awesome but I can not in good conscious tell you to run in these.

Well worth the money and lightweight, great for the gym.

Das ist schon mein zweiter Mizuno und auch diesesmal eine gute Entscheidung.Normalerweise trage ich Größe 38,5 / 39. Laufschuhe sollten immer eine Nummer größer sein und daher habe ich mich für die 40 entschieden, was auch sehr gut war.Der Schuh ist sehr gut gedämpft, ideal auch für die Straße. Trotz längerer Laufpause, ist es auch mit diesem Schuh möglich längere Strecken zu laufen. Offensichtlich ist die Sohle extra so geschaffen, dass man schneller und länger laufen kann, hervorragend.Und er sieht auch noch gut aus, wie ich finde, so dass man ihn bei längeren Spaziergängen auch gut tragen kann.

I have always liked this brand, this one is as good and comfortable as the others. Excellent value for the money.
