Little Friends Jemima Narrow Rat/Hamster Cage, 100 cm

The media could not be loaded. Only flaw is a few cage clips snapped. But other than that it is very easy to clean as seen in pictures and video my rats are happy that's all I really care about can't fault the product and size 😊

Although this cage looks good and seems well made the colour on the listing states black. It is definitely not black, more of a purple/blue colour. Although this doesn’t affect the functionality of the product I was disappointed because it was bought as a gift and the recipient specifically asked for black. 😞

This cage is fabulous size for our new Syrian hamster and she loves it. The alignment of the roof and the sides is terrible though and you’ll spend ages stressing if the gaps are too large or not.However tonight has topped it all, one week in and first time taking lid off for a full clean and 3 of the 4 clips have snapped. Plastic is really stiff and brittle. The cage lid is now balanced on there precariously hoping our hamster doesn’t escape till I can get something more suitable. No way for me to send it back now as it’s enormous and will cost a fortune but right now I still need to use it for her to sleep in. We’ve absolutely loved the size of this cage and the tubes within it but the clips and alignment just mean it’s not worth the cost.

Great size. No instructions for putting together and cage can seem too big for base. Ends keep ‘folding in’ until you put the blue plastic clips on - photo 1. The top has to be slotted under the 4 semi circles thar jut out at the top of the long sides - photo 2. And then the ends of the top are hooked on to the ends of the main frame - photo 3.

The size of the cage is great, but it was a nightmare to assemble. There were no instructions provided, and this was ok apart from the lid. I just couldn't figure out how it was supposed to attach, so I had a look at the photo on the listing. The bars were assembled inside out so I had to unattach it and take the doors off and put them back on the right way. It was really fiddly even with pliers.

This is a great size for a hamster or a few rats. I have a Syrian hamster living in mine and it gives him a lot of space. My only real complaint with this cage is the door sizes. They’re too small and it’s a bit of a nightmare if I need to take anything out to clean it as I need to remove the entire wire part. You’d hope that a cage this size would have a larger door. Overall though it’s worth the purchase.
