Did it’s job but could improve
The jack did what it was supposed to do- that said- the end bolt that holds the 2 pieces together is plastic so it didn’t hold them together effectively then we had to break the plastic piece out to get them back together again. For what we paid, if it would need to be taken apart for any reason (other than my 10 yo tinkering), and it came apart rather easily, I would think it should go back together with a removable pin or something, rather than having to break the tool.

These are the best. Don’t waist the money on Cheaper brands!!!
I’ve installed hardwood floors for almost 14 years. We’ve always used Powernail brand wall jacks. There are plenty of cheaper options, but they can’t withstand everyday use. Other brands are just poor designs and didn’t last a month.I do not like or recommend the ones that have angled bases. I would get the one with the flat base. If this is something you will be using everyday, or regularly it is definitely worth the money. If your just getting it to install a room in your house, you could probably get away with buying the cheap $30 brand.

A must for pro hardwood installers
This tool is a must have for any hardwood floor install. Makes hallways and last few boards near walls go in tight. Once you use it you’ll wonder why you never had one.
