Great
This story is psychology in reverse, as in the little girl who narrates the story tells about how her mom makes her do all these things that are actually good for her and in the end she realizes that she actually loves her mom. The author pulls off this story with humor that moms and kids will enjoy. This subject is certainly a topic that a parent could talk to a child about. Recommended for children ages three to eight.

I love it!
I’d recommend this book to any mother. It’s a good read. Its not a long story or a novel but it’s short sweet message that every Mom needs to hear. You are doing great no matter how crazy things are especially when you think the toddler running around like crazy and making you feel everything you do they hate. Read it. It won’t take but 10 minutes. You’ll be happy you did.

Updated review. Headline changed to "Odd but entertaining"
Mixed feeling about this one. Even between ourselves. Average score: 4 stars (ranging from 3 to 5).Never found the hidden personal message, confused about where the father (who they were praying for) is, or what happened to him (if anything happened to him), whether he is dead or alive, not sure why the religious aspect was kind of hidden in an otherwise non-religious book; we could go on.We own all three books by this author and this one is making us both confused and discussing raised and not-so-obvious topics well beyond the bed time. Which is -- GREAT!After all, books by Roald Dahl received similar feedback, and yet the author kept going his way. Until he succeeded and won hearts of millions. (And criticism of tens of thousands.)Quotes:"Intended (so-called) sarcasm aside, this daughter would be a nightmare to raise.""What is this really about? Why is she so weird? Why do I feel her mum must also be a nutcase?""I love it! It confuses the heck out me but I love it!"Our final note: We didn't find it "extremely funny" and even the youngest feels like it certainly wasn't written from a child's perspective. It's odd but entertaining. We thing the author is most probably "quite different."

Good job!
My 7 year old grandson, Noah, loved this book. I had him read it to me for his reading time. He said he didn’t like it when the little girl called her Mom “the worst.” But, he LOVED it when she said, “Come here and give me a hug. No, not that hard Mom. Come on.”

Better for school age than toddlers
I read this book to my daughter and overall was less than impressed. The sentence structure seemed off and caused me to stumble. The bolded words (secret message) were distracting and did not add to my enjoyment of the story. I also felt as though the resolution of the child admitting that their mom was OK after all was delayed. Younger children, especially, would find it easier to follow the story if the "but" came after EACH example instead of lumped together at the end. I did love the illustrations, but think the book would be good for grade school kids.

This sounded good.
I have a friend with young kids and thought she might appreciate this. Before buying/sending anything for her I always read them, just to check them out. When I clicked on "read it now" it had little, almost postal stamp-sized thingys on the pages that couldn't even be read. There might be a way to enlarge the ones like this (I've come across a few others like this), but if so, I don't know how.

Finally a book kids can relate to!
This book’s message will resonate with kids and parents alike! Who hasn’t been called the “worst mom ever”. Hahhaa I know I have! But in the end, kids know we love them so much and that’s what this book is about.

Fantastic!
This book is fun and funny! A great look into the mind of a toddler (especially if you have a strong willed kiddo). Our kids may think we’re mean, but this reminds us that we really are doing our best!
