Great game for younger kids
This game is super fun for the whole family. The packaging is a good size that's small enough to be portable and fit in my wife's purse but not so small that you feel like you didn't get your money's worth. It's is the perfect introduction to set collection gameplay making it excellent for kids probably as young as 7ish, maybe younger. Even though the kids will love the adorable art and quick play time, there's enough to the game play that parents and older kids will still have fun playing and trying different strategies to win. Overall a great value that's easy to learn, quick to play and has the cutest artwork any axolotl fan will love!

Fun, Simple Game for Kids (and Axolotl Fans!)
The media could not be loaded. I discovered this game at a friend’s house where their kids were having an absolute blast playing it. I’ve always loved axolotls, so I picked one up for when our nieces, nephews, or friends with kids come over. It’s easy to learn, colorful, and perfect for game nights with little ones. Highly recommend if you want something fun and lighthearted.

I bought A Lotta Axolotls for my niece, who absolutely loves axolotls, and it was a huge hit! The game is easy to learn, making it perfect for kids, but still fun and engaging for adults too. The artwork is adorable, the quality is great, and it’s the perfect mix of strategy and lighthearted fun. If you’re looking for a unique and entertaining game, this one is a winner!

A fun and cute game
*Updated review after playing and I'll update again when I receive the new copy*This is a very fun and educational game for kids to play together! My kids have really enjoyed it even though I was initially sad at the quality of the cards since it is a game made for kids to play. My cards were all warped and had nicks and dings on them despite being in shrink and the insert was a little beat up despite no damage outside of the box. Luckily, the company has offered to replace my copy and I'll update my review following that. If you do get a production error, I would suggest reaching out to Messy Table Games on their website and they will assist you.Even though I had my concerns for the production quality, my kids were beyond excited to play and use the bonus stickers inside the box. I house ruled the game to make it cooperative and they've loved to play!

Great introduction to a set collection game
As you may know, axolotls are all the rage with kids right now. While volunteering at my daughter's school for the book fair, all of the kids went straight to all the Axolotl books, diaries, and fun accessories.Needless to say, my daughter was overjoyed to get this game from Eric Olsen and Messy Table Games. She loved collecting the different axolotls and completing the set goals in an attempt to have the most points at the end of the game! I heard comments of "oooh, this one is so cute" and "I love all the colors." My daughter is 6 and played with minimal help the first time playing. The game is beautiful, easy to teach, and learn.

A quick and very fun family game
I came across another game made by these guys last year (callled Booty Dice - I wrote a review of that one too) and liked it so much I added myself to their mailing list.I have twin 7 year olds whoare voracious game players. At this age they love playing games, but holding their attention for longer board games can be a challenge. This game is perfect for them becuase it has minimal setup, there's a decent amount of strategy but it's fast paced so no one has time to get bored. Each turn takes maybe 10 seconds and you can wrap up a game in 5-10 mins. I also appreciate the fact that there's some addition involved in keeping track of scores, as well as the whole focus on the Axolotls - I'd never even heard about them but the kids knew all about it as apparently they are very popular in class. One of my sons asked that if they could take the game to class after the third game. I think it'll make a good stocking stuffer and I can see myself buying a couple for family and friends for the holidays. So far, I'd say these guys are 2/2 for their games. My other son knows the name of the company and talks about playing a 'messy table' game when it's game night.
