Great value, buy them, air them, wash them, dry them, lift them. Simple
So, getting out of the way I have no experience with any other rubber bumper plates, I think these are great. For starters, since Amazon reviews aren't always clear, this review is for the 260 lb Economy - Speckled set.Getting to the elephant in the room, yes, they have an odor and are they slippery out of the package, but there are valid reasons for that and many other bumper plate brands and products are like this at first so it's not really a point of contention, just something that potential buyers need be aware of.So, they smell and are slippery. To solve that, first I opened the boxes, removed them from their plastic bags, and sat them in the garage for a few days with a fan blowing over them. Then, I washed each plate with Dawn and a sponge, one of those double-sided blue kitchen sponges in a utility sink (but you could do this in a tub or anywhere really). I washed each plate twice. Load the soft side of the sponge with Dawn and soap down each side of the plate and then switch to the scour side of the sponge and work the plate into a good lather all over. Get each side, the center hole, and the outer rim of the plate. Rinse and repeat the process. Then dry with a towel. You'll know you're good when after drying you leave a finger streak that disappears in a few seconds completely. If finger marks remain then there is still oil to be removed. Note: you should see the water/suds turning black/grey as you wash each plate and those suds clearing up on the second (or if need, third wash). So, set them out a few days under a fan in a well ventilated area then wash each one twice with Dawn to a good lather and towel dry. Now you'll be able to put them in your house without odor if that is where you plan to use them.I didn't weight every plate but a 45lb weighed 45.4lb on my home scale but the scale could easily be off and a sample size of one is useless, basic take away, the weights are close enough. Also, some people complain that the 10 and 15 lb are flimsy and they are but they also aren't designed with side loads in mind or to be used without the 25+ plates to help spread out the load, so be aware of that. Basically, don't leave the 10 or 15s on your barbell by themselves, especially in heat, for longer than your workout or they may flex and break. You can leave them on the bar with larger weights no problem, just not themselves. One last thing, while cleaning, don't scrub TOO hard with the scour side. You don't want to shed rubber or rub off the letters and numbers.Pound for pound tho, very happy with the set and are competitively priced to iron plates making this set an excellent set an excellent value(One last thing actually, I do find the speckling makes reading the numbers on the plates a big challenging as the speckling and numbers are the same color but it's not all that bad either, it's not like you're reading them a lot and they've color coded...and size coded, lol)

Good Price to pound ratio, but will come with some smelly lubricant that cleans off
Looks good, feels good, and has probably the cheapest prices (CAP) for bumper plates. Like many others my plates came slick with some lubricant (or rubber preserver?) upon opening the box. It did stink up the room a bit but after cleaning the bumper pads, letting them sit to dry, and then cleaning them again most if not all the residue was gone and the smell went away after a few days of leaving my garage door open to air out. Then 10 pound bumper plates are a bit flimsy and bend easily if they are on a Olympic barbell on its own, but that's what you get for budget plates. A lot of my 10's and 15's have a bit of bending but don't cause issues if I stack other plates around it and use bar clips.

Can bend/bow if not properly stored.
These are as expected. My only comment is that they can bend. I accidentally left one propped against a wall with a heavier one leaning on it which caused the 10lb weight to bend/bow out. It stayed bent throughout the workout (did not flatten with other weights pressed against it). I left it flat on the floor with a heavier weight on it for a while and it is flat again. This feature does not detract from my rating as that was my fault and thankfully it did flatten back out over time.

Solid set of Budget Plates
I got 260 pounds of these elite plates for $205.85 dollars. That is around 79 cents a pound, and for that price, I think this was a SOLID deal. The only con (why I'm giving it 4 stars) is it came covered in a greasy substance and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I had to work very hard washing these plates with soap and water water from a hose, and then I had to dry these plates in the sun TWICE for the greasiness to go away and for the smell to significantly reduce. Now, you can only smell the plates if you literally put your nose on them. I believe that too will go away over time, as it's exposed to more air. They do get scratched up over time, but it doesn't seem to impact the ability of the plate to do their job. These are budget plates at the end of the day, you're not buying them to look cool, you're buying them to use them as extra weight on your barbell. They do take a little bit of effort to get a grip on the plates, but it's not too big of a deal. I haven't weighed them to check the accuracy of the weight, but they definitely feel correct. Also, it seems some other reviews are complaining about the 10 and 15 pound plates breaking when used alone. I'm not sure why the seller now removed it from their description, but when I bought it, the description of the item specifically noted to not use the 10 or 15 pound plates alone. I've always made sure to follow this rule, and I haven't had any problems with the 10 or 15 pound plates.

You’ll get what is advertised with this one.
You will get exactly what is advertised. A well made, affordable and good looking bumper plate. Haven’t bothered to check weight. But CAP is normally pretty close. No need to buy the more expensive option just to verify weight. They won’t be off enough to matter if they even are. Great buy.

Can’t beat the amount of weight for the price.
For the price I’m happy. They do smell bad at first and they do have a bit of oil. I left them outside for about a week and wiped off the oil a couple times while off gassing. We shall see if they last but I’m not worried about it.

Great for the price
Fit my 2’ barbell perfectly. Haven’t seen any bending of the plates like other reviews have shown, but they are stored indoors at a pretty consistent temperature. I don’t slam my weights, so I expect them to hold up pretty well as they aren’t showing any signs of wanting to give out on me.They do have that rubber smell and greasy feel when first opened. They still feel a little greasy after a couple weeks of use, but the smell has gone. I haven’t weighed them to check the accuracy of the weight, but they at least feel correct. I haven’t had any of the plates feel heavier than the other, so I’m still able to perform lifts without fear of muscle imbalances or any safety issues. Overall, a pretty good set of plates for the price!
