I am redoing the upholstery and a boat cover for my center console. The pads on my chairs were missing but this made it super easy for me to design something that will fit, and be secure to the plastic seats. The snaps attach and detach nicely. Not to tight, or loose. If you are doing repairs like I did, then this kit will work great for you. I have done full covers before and I think I made need a better tool doing more than 10-15 of these snaps. Just to save my hands.

No. This kit only includes pieces to fasten cloth to wood or a similar hard surface. The female side of the snap has the fittings to attach to cloth like leather, canvas, etc. The male side can only be attached to something that you drill a hole and screw it down to. The words about "Perfect for repairing or adding snaps to clothing, bags, and more." and "robust fasteners are in a kind of applications, including canvas, tarpaulins, tents, awnings, apparel, leather goods" No. They can't do that. I wanted to add some snaps to hold up the brim of my hat to the crown. That only works if I drill into my head and screw down the snap into my skull. There are certainly other kits out there that include an assortment of both cloth attached and screw attached male sides. This isn't one of them. This absolutely WILL NOT WORK for cloth on cloth applications.

A great kit of snaps. It includes the hole punch, the snaps, the tools to place the snaps. The plating is shiny and intact. These snaps are perfect to attach leather to wood or a solid surface. The kit includes a lot of snap sets so you can do a large area.
