Very live mosses, 3 packs I received were good and healthy. You just have to make a pot bed and hydrate it with water spraying.

The moss arrived today, all three pieces labeled. They are all very dry and crispy but it says on the bags that they will revive once they're misted with water. It's December 14th and I'm going to wrap them up for Christmas but misted them once very lightly and I hope that's okay for the next 10 days. One of the small pieces has a tear in the center of it. I don't think it will be that big of a deal if it grows, but I thought it's worth mentioning. I also should have paid closer attention to the listing -- I didn't realize one of the pieces of moss likes really, really moist conditions. We're going to use these pieces of moss in enclosures for Western Black Widows which, generally, tolerate a much more dry environment compared with other spiders. For that reason, I'm not sure how well this little piece of moss will do. I'm excited about the other two pieces though. I don't think they came with care or growth instructions -- for example, do I need to put them on some kind of substrate or will they be okay as they are on the piece of "fabric"? I'm assuming I don't need to remove that piece of fabric, right? So other readers know what you get -- there are two 4"x4" pieces of two different mosses (Eurohypnum leptothallum and another one) and then one 4"x8" piece of a third moss. I wrapped them all before I got their names so I'll try to update this review after Christmas. They all seem to be in fine condition if they come back to life with a bit of water and except for one tear/rip in the center of the Eurohypnum leptothallum. For the price, I recommend this product if you're looking for a few pieces of moss.

Beautiful and sprang right back with a spray of water. I am using this for my son’s gecko on the diy vivarium scaping. Looks awesome for my first time.
