✅ USED THIS NOT FOR MUSHROOMS, BUT TO COMBAT SUN DAMAGED FOLIAGE!
Because of where I live (in Florida) it doesn't exactly get very cold here, so plants can typically stay outside during "winter" without sustaining too much damage. Due to the seasons changing, along with the time changing, the angle of the sun hitting my front porch, had shifted and fried a couple of my more sensitive, ornamental, plants. I had done some reading about gypsum and had seen in several places that it actually is supposed to help combat sun damage on foliage, as well as help prevent root rot. I decided to put it to the test!✅ QUANTITY: for the price point of this bag, it's actually quite a very large bag! i noticed this right away when the order was delivered. it's heavy, and the bag is filled, to the top. you get a huge amount for the price, and for the quality of this gypsum, it's a great and unbeatable deal.✅ EASE OF USE,: so this is a powder that is very very very fine and is super easy to get literally everywhere. that way i used it, is with measuring spoons, following the directions that id read on how to dose per one gallon of water. the bag makes it easy to measure out however much you need and simply just reseal the bag.✅ MULTI-PURPOSE— TREATED PLANTS SUCCESSFULLY: following the directions closely, i stuck to a regimen of watering with the mixture of gypsum and a little specialized fertilizer for over a month and took pictures. the pictures speak for themselves, really. the damage that the sun had done to the foliage of my plants, had disappeared and the new growth that was being effected healed over! while im not sure how this stuff works, why it works. or what the exact science of this is, all i know is what i physically see. and it has made a real difference in my plants!⬛ OVERALL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FIVE STARS! ———————————————》》》》 IN SUMMARY: i really can't give this stuff any less than five STARS because the effect that it's had on my plants that had sun burns, is very visible and real. even though i didn't use this gypsum for the intended purpose that it's being advertised for, this stuff has so many uses and is very versatile. id also read that this stuff is basically the same thing as "plaster of paris"? regardless, it has worked for it's intended purpose, for me and i am now a believer in it's magic! i dont plan to use it long term though, and only when i encounter problems as aforementioned above, so i wouldn't recommend this as a preventative measure for sun damage, but it could be used for root rot prevention, as ive read. be cause you get so much in a single bag, this should last for quite some time. ♡

Works great!
I would recommend this as an additive to anyone interested the the mycology field and trying to do some at home mushroom growing. That is what I am doing with it and in the picture is a mixture of coco coir, hot water, and and this gypsum. I am experimenting right now as I am a brand new mushroom grower, this is my very first run but so far so good and I'm about ten weeks in. I got the five pound bag and only choose to use one-hundred grams in the mixture in the picture so needless to say this is a great deal price-wise, this bag will last me a long time and many flushes, fingers crossed! Five out of five stars from me, I have no negatives to report, this bag even has a releasable zipper on it so it doesn't get exposed to humidity in the air or anything. Go ahead and grab a bag if your reading reviews already here's your signal, this stuff works great so far and it's a great price point.

Wonderful for gourmet mushroom growing
As a hobby mycologist, I use gypsum as part of my substrate mix to add with my mycelium.Though this powder isn't sterile, it's simple to do so by adding it to the rest of my substrate mix, putting it in a bag and then in a pressure cooker in order to fully sterilize it. Once it's cooled, it's ready to be mixed with my colonized spawn in a sterile tote. Many mushroom growers appreciate organic ingredients and this is organic and non-GMO. It's also well priced and there's a lot of it in one bag for the cost.

Quality gypsum
Good quality powdered gypsum! My plants are liking it! I’ve mixed it directly into the soil, top dressed some and also tried adding some to water to see how it dissolved. From what I could tell it seemed to fully dissolve in the water, so I was very happy about that!Gypsum is a must have for plants in my opinion. Great for calcium and sulfur. I feel it improves the taste and smell of my veggies.
