i was disappointed as the ink cartridge ran out before the paper and i now have several sheets spare and no ink to print on them. the description does state there is enough ink for all the papers but be aware before you buy this product, this is not the case .i have been in touch with the company who have been really helpful and sent me a replacement package. thank you and i would recommend this product and company

Go for the original - see comparison image to see why
I recently bought a Canon Selphy CP1300 to use as a printer for a photobooth. As usual when buying a printer, I wanted to see if I could economise with the inks and paper. On traditional inkjet printers, it's often possible to find a good combination of paper and ink that works out cheaper. Being all in one (paper and ribbon) obviously you can't mix and match so have to take what results you get.I've uploaded a comparison photo - this product on the left, original Canon supplies on the right. Comparing the prints side-by-side, you can see that this 3rd party replacement is visibly inferior in terms of colour balance. There is a lot more magenta present (look at the sky in particular) than in the Canon ink. This is not just this image - every image I tried had exaggerated magenta. The prints also come out a lot lighter than the official Canon supplies, which lifts shadows but equally makes deep blacks impossible. The lightening also tends to make the images look a bit grainy overall.Given that the price is not much more for official Canon supplies, I wouldn't bother with these unless a) they're much cheaper on a deal and b) you're not that bothered about the quality. I suppose you might be able to do some colour management, but I for one will be sticking to Canon supplies.
