Does the job well
Firstly, it's well built and feels like it will last for years. It's a simple mechanism so not much to break.I bought this primarily for the 2litre capacity and you can fit 2 litre bottles pretty easily. OK, you do have to shove some of the taller ones in a little bit but they will fit and crush. Really effective at reducing size. 2l probably compresses to 10% of previous size.As a tip, most things crush easier if you put a dent in them at the front. Gives it a point of weakness. Also does drinks cans but, as it's designed for the large bottle, there is a gap between the the crushing plates of around 1 inch which means the cans don't crush fully. I've fixed this by adding an inch thick offcut of mdf that just closed that gap when I'm using it for cans. I can't complain as this wasn't part of the advertised function.Pricewise it's at the top end of the scale but on a par with other 2l capacity crushers. It was worth it for me as it does feel bulkier and better built than some of the £10-£20 offerings out there. Time will tell.Things it will crush:Plastic bottles up to 2 litre (including taller 1l pop bottles from Aldi and Lidl)Milk bottles upto 4ptAluminium cans (includes pint cans)Things it will not crush:Food tins - they're just too strong being corrugated and thicker than drinks cans. You can squash them horizontally to a degree with it but you're not going to get it flat like a drinks can.

Engineering degree not required...
The media could not be loaded. You'd have to be simple-minded not to be able to fit a 2l plastic bottle in this & squash it.Does what it says on the tin! 🤪

This is the business, very pleased.
Expensive but satisfying - and very effective.Could do with inserts to hold different bottles centrally as they're crushed but that's a development to come.Previous to this we had the cheap plastic style from Poland ... rather harder work but also very effective and long lasting ... but developed a crack and the only replacement we could find was flimsy! Couldn't replace the original!

great tool
our recycling bin was always overflowing but this reduces the bottle to about a quater of its size great product

Easy to use
Works well on smaller bottles and have improved the space available in the recycle bin. Not so good on the harder style plastic bottles though

Just one thing wrong
The problem is you cannot fit a standard 2 litre coke bottle in without some force, more than should be required, My wife couldn't do it. The cups seem the wrong way round as a bottle is way too long to fit. This just makes it useless. It is a pity, as in every other sense the item is very strong with big wall plugs and screws ( which I didn't use as I am returning the item.It should be said that those plastic tube crushers actually make a better job of the crushing, just with more effort. So, to sum up, all the other negative answers to questions are correct. Small bottles would be okay but the crushing isn't as good as other designs and forget 2 litre fizzy drinks bottles.

Does the job
I decided to pay a bit more and get quality and longevity. It’s probably too soon to judge but so far so good. It’s crushed every plastic bottle I’ve tried so it looks like a good buy.
