Perfect for a calm evening with your close ones!
I absolutely love this sake. I used to go to a restaurant that would serve plum sake and so I had to give this a try and this has to have better quality in my personal opinion. It’s got a sweet flavour to it and the texture is nice and smooth. It’s so nice served cold and warm depending on the setting and tone of your evening. The bottle size is perfect especially for someone who doesn’t drink too often and prefers to take shots from to keep it lasting. I wouldn’t suggest drinking it all away in one sitting for any other reason other than to make it last! This is a beautiful drink to share with your pals! If you’re considering it, I urge you to give it a try!

Very good...a tad sweet...but as it was intended to be...but very good.
I purchased and tried the dry variety of sake, Honjozo Tokubetsu. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I needed a contrast. The Umeshu Shiraume Ginjo梅酒 白梅 吟醸 , infused with plums, answered well. It can be sipped straight like a liqueur at room temperature, warmed up as a traditional option ( as with various saké iterations) chilled and enjoyed with ice and soda water. It's about personal taste.

Tastes fantastic.
Arrived today. I’ve recently decided to try a few different Sake’s, I can definitely say these Akashi-Tai are worth it and are not letting me down one bit. I have tried their Honjozo Tokubetsu and now this one as well, absolutely lovely and I get a nice warm sensation in my chest and stomach once swallowed (positive feeling not negative for those that didn’t get that), they truly are amazing drinks. Photo is of both bottles I have of theirs.

If you love plum wine this is for you
Every pay day I will treat myself to a bottle of something. While travelling in Japan I drank the sake and plum wine like it was water. Since returning back to the UK I can find decent enough sake at the wholesale oriental supermarket but not plum wine..I find the kikumen one very artificial.. Anyway I was close to buying my favourite Choryu plum wine on Amazon as its £35 most places but thought I'd try this for a change. The bottle is of nice quality and the taste caught me off guard..I was expecting sake with a hint of plum..and I normally warm it up. This is very viscose and tastes extremely plummy. Sweet but got that sour note, I just drink this neat with a cube of ice...it would make a nice spritzer for a long drink. For those that are cautious of sake then this for you, as it does not taste like it...for those that like sake you might be disappointed..but for those plum wine drinkers I can't recommend this enough.

Delicious
Delicious. Has quite a kick for a wine.
