Does a great job and instantly tells the temperature of meat and water the accuracy has been perfect, the numbers are easy to read and it’s just simple to use. Oh and they gave me a replacement battery. Overall this is a great thermometer at a great price

Immediate 5 stars. My family had previously purchased a thermometer from our local grocery store that lasted us a few years. It stopped working recently and we didn’t realize how reliant we had been on the old one. When I ordered this one, I didn’t have high hopes until I held the box in my hands. This was made with so much care. The packaging alone is 5 stars. I washed the thermometer tip and as I was drying it with a paper towel, it picked up my body heat and worked right away. It works fast. It’s accurate. It’s heavy duty and will last us much longer than the other one did. The screen is large and easy to read. It’s definitely worth the cost. Dragging the thermometer point out is a little tougher than the old one but I suspect it’ll become easier the more we use it since it’s brand new. As of right now, usability is great otherwise. Works as intended. 5 stars.

I just bought a smoker and although it has its own temperature probes I wanted to make sure they were accurate. The probe registers fast and has a built in light which comes in handy when cooking outside this time of year. The Alpha Grillers Meat Thermometer is very accurate and within 1-2 degrees of the smokers probes which I consider within the margin or error. It has a nice heavy duty magnet on the back so I can stick it to the side of the smoker pellet box while cooking and when done it stores nicely on the side of the fridge. There are many others out there way more expensive but for the money this one is a great value and it also comes with a spare button battery.

My husband liked the first one I purchased for him so much for the outdoor grill that he wanted a second one to cook meats indoors. Easy to clean, easy to use and read and makes his cooking so much better.

I bought 2 for Christmas. When grilling a tenderloin the temperatures were 10°F high and 10°F low compared to a two other calibrated thermometers. I finished calibrating both using an ice bath. 1) Fill a glass with crushed ice and add water. 2) Put the thermometer probe in the water 3) Press and hold the Cal button until it flashes CAL 4) Press the Cal button to increase the temperature and the Hold/Max/Min button to decrease the temperature 5) Set the temperature to 32.0 after a few seconds it will stop flashing Afterward, I tested with boiling water and found they are 4° below boiling temperature adjusted for altitude. Not bad for the price of the thermometer. When gilling I just have to add a couple of degrees. At this price point I'm not sure you'll get much better. It's comfortable to hold and easy to read. The back light for grilling at night has come in handy a few times already. The hold temperature is useful as well.

This digital grill thermometer works great and makes grilling much easier. The probe gives quick and accurate temperature readings. The display is easy to read and the probe keeps your hands safely away from the heat while checking temperatures. It’s simple to use and gives consistent results every time. The magnet is great for keeping stored on the side of the grill.

I had an old one that can stay in the oven but I guess after more than 60 years the needle barely moved. So I got this. I have used it several times now. Seems to do the job just right. I made steaks last night and rather than do the springyness test, I poked the thermometer in. It read between 130 and 142 depending on where I inserted it. So I took them off and let them rest. Rechecked the temps and they were closer to 140F. The steaks came out just about medium and in one spot barely medium rare. Pros: Handy, small, convenient and lightweight Easy to clean, just wipe the metal tip with and sponge of hot water and soap then rinse. worth the price seems to be accurate I have not used the magnet (no spot in my RV for it so will see once in y new kitchen) The light button is conveniently placed and easy to reach with your thumb while poking a roast in the oven. Cons: none yet! wish it came in a 2 pack so you can have one in the kitchen and one by the grill lol

Great digital thermometer. Accurate. Easy to read. Helps me get venison backstraps cooked just right. Magnet is super handy.

First of all it came in a surprisingly like nice box that would be perfect for sending as a gift. Inside the box are some instructions and a meat temperature guide which is a nice touch. The thermometer seems accurate and is really fast, generally taking around 5 or 6 seconds to read the temperature. It has a magnet on the back which I love as it means I can store it on the fridge :) I like how it auto turns on when you flip out the probe then auto turns off when you flip it back to closed position. There is a calibration feature and a couple other features but I haven't really used them

i even tested the accuracy, i compared it with the thermometer from hospital, it reads the exact body temperature as the hospital thingy
