THE MOST POPULAR BOOK ON MY YOU TUBE CHANNEL
The media could not be loaded. I have been using this book and teaching individuals how to color in the grey scale drawings. We are using a variety of colored pencils, eye shadow, pastels, and other mediums to color in the pictures. They are coming out very beautiful and this book is very popular with the people who are coloring it. If you buy this and find that the gray scale is too dark,....here is what I need to tell you. The picture you color is grey scale and the reference photo is printed................not colored in with pencil or grey scale (2 different things). They are replica's of oil paintings. If you expect your colors to come out the same as the reference you will be disappointed. Do not expect your picture to come out like the printer's. All of the pictures that I have colored in and/or my subscribers have came out beautiful. The printed reference photo is just that....a reference only and you don't have the same ink as the printer to duplicate it. Enjoy the grey scale. And enjoy the beauty of "your" picture. This book has really been fun to color in.

Both Challenging and Relaxing!
I have been a Colorist for close to two years. And this was by far — by far— the BEST coloring book I have EVER purchased. And I have purchased books from around the world costing upwards of $50.00!This book is both challenging and relaxing! This week I will be purchasing every book this artist has on the market!

Great Coloring Books
These are great coloring books! I almost did not get any of them because of reviews about being too dark....I do not fine these too dark and the color guides are very helpful. It says to start with markers and finish with colored pencils (backgrounds in chalk or eye shadow). I did try the markers first but I really liked just using the pencils (prisma). Turned out great! Attached photos show original from book and the other is my interpretation.

Teaching Book
Has Three uncolored grey scale pictures (2 sml., 1 lrg.) to color per one Large pre-colored scene. Prefer the small sized that are for testing colors but there is no border between them for cutting out. Paper is thinner than I like for blending and their are no perforations. Only coloring book of impressionist painting scenes. Will do my best.

Beautiful pictures.
Beautiful pictures, but, a little bit hard, sometimes to see the shading. But, I like it anyway.

Very rewarding.
I've tried all sorts of ways to 'do art' with quite disappointing results. I'm just not an artist, full stop. I've tried some of the adult colouring books but, again, I've been a bit disheartened because I usually end up with something between a child's attempt to keep within the lines & a hideous mismatch of colour. So I thought I'd give grayscale coloring a go. I've used the American spelling here, as I find mostly this type of book, as with many publications about craft pastimes, hails from American publishers. I found the idea of making some scenic art appealing, so chose this Linda Wright book to begin with. Initially I was a little put off as the colour scheme in the completed guide pictures wasn't really to my taste, however I soon realised that this is no obstacle at all. Surprising results can be gained by colouring the images with whatever colours please you. Make it light & ethereal or dark & foreboding, even totally surreal - the colouring police won't bother you at all! I've only used coloured pencils but the paper seems of decent quality so markers or whatever will probably be fine. In any case each picture comes with two small duplicates on which to try out your media. I've even considered using these as the main subject, like a miniature. Ok, some of the pictures are a bit similar to each other, and some I didn't really like, but there are plenty to have a go at & I was surprised by how good the results were, even with my very limited abilities. The grayscale tones are mostly light enough to colour over but not so light as to leave too much to be interpreted. I've quite surprised myself with what can be achieved with a little consideration, whether matching the guide image colour for colour, or creating my own interpretation. There really are no limits. You won't end up with photo-realism, but you may just want to put your efforts in a frame on the wall.

Some very nice pictures
Some really nice pictures in this one ... probably the best of “charming” series. The only negative is that some of the pictures are a bit samey and it’s difficult to get the brightness of a pale blue sky or sea
