I got a lava lamp for a friend of mine that loved mine.. Hers arrived and when turned on It was so cloudy you couldn't enjoy its "burrbols". So went to the return department ordered another one asked for a replacement not a refund. The next day the lamp was there. It was tipped on it's side and was nervous it might be in the same shape and being cloudy again Much to our delight the lamp was perfect and so pretty. So I have to give it a 5 rating,due to how Amazon quickly handled the service and the replacement. I did not give a bad rating because we all know packages are not always handled gently. and tossed around, sort of like your luggage when your at the airport and you recognize your luggage and feel a relief cause the you know it made it,in one piece only to watch the handlers play catch with your luggage! So 5 star rating because the service agents handled it quickly and I had my return labels and she had her new lava light and its crisp and not a touch of blurry. thank you

Listen to the instructions. New lamps are bratty. Each one is like a cat, slow to wake up, unique personalities, angry for no apparent reason, or as happy as can be. I plugged mine in around 5:45am and it didnt start doing towers until now at 8:13am. It probably wont flow normally for another half hour or so.Other than that. It's a brilliant lamp. Colors are stunning, lamp is doing what it does best. Look pretty and give me molten bubbles! 10/10 kudos to the original lamp company.

I hate that the quality of Lava Lamps has dropped so low. I've had Lava Lamps for years so I know his they should function. Unfortunately this is the second lamp I've gotten from Amazon that's been cloudy. The first one was too awful to even think about . This one I've put on daily-cycle for the last 13-days and it's still cloudy. I wish they had some quality-control at the factory. But moreso, I wish Amazon would just pick up returns, or make nearby lockers available again, because I'd need to spend $20 on an Uber to return at the g-damn UPS-store!

I absolutely love my new lava lamp! It adds such a fun, relaxing vibe to my space. If you read the reviews, getting a good lamp is a hit or miss the first time. The first one I ordered had very cloudy liquid that didn’t clear up in 3 days; if the liquid doesn’t get clear in a few days, most likely, it won’t get clear at all. I ordered a replacement, and the lamp came in 2 days. I think the cloudiness is due to shipping in cold weather, but I’m not sure. The replacement came with clear liquid, but like all lava lamps, it runs hot and will overheat, causing the wax to break apart in little blobs which stick to the top. To combat this, a dimmer is needed to see that magical wax flow along with a dimmable incandescent bulb. You can find a dimmer on Amazon for less than $20, and it works like a charm. The return process was very simple and fast. Overall, this product is a cool addition to my living room!

I love this retro ( ORIGINAL ) Lava Lamp ! I wanted to get my 12 year old granddaughter a Lava Lamp just like I had when I was her age. After looking high and low for one like I had I finally found this one, the Original Lava Lamp since 1965. It is just like the one I had as a kid. It is 14.5 inches tall with chrome base and cap. It's 20 ounces just like I had and comes with a 25 watt bulb. Just plug it in and enjoy ! It comes in various color combinations. For my granddaughter I went with Pink and Blue. She loves it ! Don't be fooled by off brands, go with the " Orignial Lava Lamp " I give it 5 stars !

It glows under uv light, it glows in the dark and it has an awesome green glow from the light inside. Packaging was secure. It’s the coolest lava lamp ever and I have had a few really cool ones lol. Only thing is that it’s a little cloudy but there’s instructions on how to clear it out if it is, which I appreciate from the seller. I’ll update my review if it doesn’t though.

It worked great for 2 months. We would turn it on for a few hours every day and it was always doing new lava flows. And then the lava stopped flowing. It will still turn on and get hot, and the lava was melted if you swirl it gently but it will no longer flow. Replaced the bulbs just in case, but still won’t flow. Have went through all of the troubleshooting and it is just done.
