Asvine V200, Titanium with fine nib.
Fancied a new fountain pen as there's always space for just one more, and I'd not had an Asvine before. I have to say I'm really impressed with this pen. I opted for the fine nib. The build quality is excellent, no rough edges, the screw threads on the cap are smooth . It is really well finished. I gave it a rinse with cold water then filled with ink. The vacuum fill works well, but like many vac fillers it only fills around half way, but this is still more ink than a cartridge or converter will hold. It wrote perfectly, straight out of the box. The nib is fairly wet which suits my writing style with no scratchiness. It is quite a weighty pen which I like, but it is a little top heavy if posted. Unposted it feels well balanced. Overall It is a delight to write with and I can see myself getting a couple more Asvine pens.

Good ink pump system
Good quality and inexpensive clear fountain pen with vacuum filling system.

An excellent pen, heavy, stable and a very reasonably priced.
I love this pen. Its appearance is very futuristic with its transparent design and metal highlights. It feels very solid (I like a heavy pen) and is quite long when posted (which is another personal preference). The Vacuum Filling takes a little getting used to but certainly decreases the frequency of fill-up because it seems to have a much larger capacity than an ordinary cartridge. I also noticed that its reverse writing is lovely and fine, though it does struggle with feed after several sentences. A joy.

Great pen
I have collected fountain pens for over 30 years and this is my first foray into Chinese pens and I am stunned. Great pen. Well made writes so well, fills easily, looks great. And is great value

Don't get the bock nibs
The pen itself is beyond reproach. However I ordered the broad Bock nib. Twice. The first time the line was so fine I was convinced Amazon had sent the wrong nib (it's actually impossible to tell which Bock nib you get as there are no markings ..). The second version was just as thin. So clearly the Bock broad is way off expectations. I also have the v800 with the Asvine nib. Not only is this nib a far better writer, but quite a bit broader too. Also the second version's brushed finish was far more slippery than the first. By all means get the pen, but never the bock nibs and just be prepared for less than stellar consistency.

TWSBI 700R beating
I went for the upgrade to Bock Nib. As a vac filler it's two main established competitors are the TWSBI 700R and Custom 823. I have both and can say that okay, it's not an 823. However, I would get it over a 700R any day of the week. For one, it's cheaper (even with the bock nib upgrade) and two, subjective, it looks smarter and more of-a-piece than the 700R. It was Bock nib and you can ask for Asvine to QC it before shipping, so the pen wrote well out of the box. If Asvine produce a V200 in different colour - either the furniture (rose gold please?) or the acrylic, I'm getting another.

A lovely looking pen that does not function well
A pen that looks really well made and attractive. Sadly performance does not match. Two main problems-both aggravated by the seller responses to my requests for help. Firstly the piston is stiff - so much so that 2 hands are needed, one to hold the barrel the other to push in the piston-then it gives way suddenly threatening to knock over the ink bottle. Secondly the ink flow is insufficient so the pen skips. On trying to get more ink into the nib I pushed on the piston and because it gives way suddenly ink shot all over my paper. On explaining this to the seller they gave a link to a promotional video which showed the pen being held by one hand and the piston pushed in by one finger. Misrepresentation. Also they refused to accept that the pen skips.

Very impressive
This may be relatively inexpensive but it is not a cheap pen by any means. Beautifully made, impressively constructed, fantastic value for money.

I ordered this with some apprehension due to the reviews that mentioned the ink flow is not good. I had to come here to say, that this pen has the MOST ink flow control of my entire collection, so I thought I would explain how it works. When I purchased the pen, I received an image file from the seller, explaining that for extended writing, the top cap should be unscrewed to allow for air flow. You have to take into account that this is a vacuum system, so it makes sense that airflow into the barrell would be limited when writing, and as ink gets spent, it would create a diminished ink flow. If you just want to write something small this is no problem; if you find that the ink flow starts to diminish, I find that unscrewing the top just a bit restores ink flow. You can then play around with it, and keep it slightly open or close it again. I hope this helps. Enjoy your writing!

A very good fountain pen that punches way above it's price point. I have two of these and despite some complaints about the blank cap being out of alignment, I have never had this happen on either of my 2 V200s, and never seen that happen on my friends' ones either. The vacuum system is very convenient and holds quite a bit more ink that regular piston converters, and is very reliable AND user-serviceable with the wrench they include. I highly recommend getting this with the Asvine 3-nib kit as it gives you more options if you want to change nib thickness. If budget is a concern, the V126 is also an excellent choice, and is quite similar to the more expensive Pilot Custom 823 for a fraction of the price.
