These are beautifully crafted and are very sturdy.

One of the qualities they're looking for in reviewing these coaster is "absorbency". Which is always a challenge with wood coasters. Left untreated, the wood would soak up *too* much moisture over time, and start to disintegrate. These coasters feature a nice clear laminate coating. While it cuts down on said absorbency, it makes up for it in durability and looks. Speaking of looks, the patterns on the coasters (if a bit similar), are delightful. At $1.30 per coaster, it may seem a bit much, but 2 nice coaster holders are included as well. Recommended.
