I'm thoroughly impressed with the Boat Airdopes 454 ANC earbuds! Despite reading several negative reviews about Boat products, my experience with these earbds has been overwhelmingly positive. The build quality of both the earbuds and the case is solid, and the overall design is sleek.The sound quality is fantastic, with clear and balanced audio that enhances my music-listening experience. The gaming mode is a standout feature, with negligible latency (as claimed, around 60ms). I've used these earbuds to play BGMI, and the experience was seamless with no noticeable lag or delay issues.The features provided by Boat significantly improve the overall user experience. Hi reader....So if you are planning to buy this one just go through it and it will give all your doubts a perfect solution...Let's start from pros:- Multipoint connectivity- In ear detection- MicNow things that are just meh! (Can manage)- Sound quality- AppNow things that are actually worse (for me at least)- ANC- Eartips- Personalised Sound- In ear detection (honestly its actually very good, that's why it's worse for me)- Case quality (paint)Now for the geeks out there here is the full review...Let's start with the Pros...The multi point connectivity works like a charm.The device switches between the two devices so nicely that you don't even realise, how easy it made your life. Sure, in some scenarios you will feel like why is it getting switched, but that's true whole point of multi point connectivity...In ear detection, this also works like charm, from what i have used so far, i have found out the hack also regarding these earphone's in ear detection system. You can confuse the system by pinching the eartips one you have taken out any ear bud, and the song/video will continue... The in ear detection works so good that if the earphone is not properly fit in your ear it will randomly keep on pausing and playing the song/video... There is no minimum tolerance/threshold such that it will pause the song/video. I have turned off this feature, the reason for which will be mentioned in the cons...The mics are also an excellent point for the boat, this has allowed me to communicate even in the dense traffic environment in a very easy way... I didn't had to shout out anything, it just picked up my voice and passed it out... Don't expect studio quality mic though (When you remove noise you voice is also affected)But as far as devoces what I have used, it has great mics for calling and attending meetings...Now for the meh😑 things...As far as sound quality goes, if you are bass head, then you might like it. But if you are using it for anything like studio needs then no....I have Sony earphones (WI-C100), those provide much flatter and ear pleasing audio, but they have extremely bad mics.These are well built for calls/meetings/EDM/Rock as this heavily follows the V signature sound. The bass and treble overpowers the mids and using personalized sound makes the treble even more sharper.I was happy when i got two firmware updates from when i bought it.One I got it as soon as opened and the other I got couple of months back.Thereafter no updates.There are crashes in the app, sometimes you might not be able to see your device connected in app even though your device is connected. The solution is to turn off and on Bluetooth, after which it works fine.Whenever you open app you are never shown your devices list instead it will show all the devices that the app supports, so you will have to click again on MY DEVICES and then click on your device.Now, for the cons and bad 😔 things...I have ear with normal human sized holes, but the ear tips are so small (even the largest one), at first they will fit nicely, but then the quality of eartips is bad, why because it deforms so easily and quickly that with little bit of sweat and movements, the earphones will get loose to a point where one jerk motion is enough to make you loose your earphone.Now this looseness affects it's in ear detection system as it detects that earphone is out of ear and pauses the song, and suddenly it will detect back the ear and start working again.Personalised sound, i will tell you that it works, i have tested it out on couple of people and yes it works, but for this there are huge set of problems...1. This only focuses on mids and high frequency.2. This has to be done manually and the steps mentioned in the app are not clear (not at-least you have tried like three times)3. The setting up takes easily 15-20 minutes.4. The requirement for a silent room. I thought it is a preference from company's side, but no, if you don't have a silent room you will not be using the Personalised sound that it creates.And last but not least the case itself...I have not used it roughly, but still i can find areas where the paint is coming out and is actually started to look like a constructor's measuring tape.... It has many places from where the paint is gone and it catches dust easily. So keeping clean is not easy.Also, note that its not like it has magnets that keeps the lid open, i think there's some kind of plastic lick that holds the lid open, so don't go expecting a smooth opening and closing of the case like me..
