This safe holds approximately 8–12 firearms, and after installing it, I can say the model turned out very well. The body is solid, the metal is not “tin,” and the door closes firmly with no misalignment. The concealed hinges immediately add extra protection against tampering. The interior is well thought out: the rifle holders are positioned conveniently, and you can adjust their placement. The shelves are adjustable, and the compartments for magazines and small accessories are designed intelligently. I especially like that there is an additional small lockable compartment with a key, perfect for storing firearm documents or even cash. Assembly is fairly simple and doesn’t take much time. Overall, it’s an excellent safe for the price: sturdy and spacious. This is one of my favourite models considering its cost, design, and build quality.

This gun cabinet / "safe" far exceeded my expectations. It was delivered fast, was packaged well, and was assembled easily. The finished product is nice and solid. Definitely needs to be secured to a wall. Floor bolting is not really an option. Fireproof? Not really. Perhaps it could resist fire, for a short period of time, but I would not store my pertinent documents in this cabinet. The electronic controls require 4 AA alkaline batteries. Assemly took about an hour. Assembly tip 1: don't tighten the screws until the top and bottom plates are installed. Get most of the screws installed to just short of tight. Once the top and bottom plates are installed, the cabinet is square and all screws can be fully tightened. Assembly tip 2: Have a light handy. Assembling a black box using black screws could be a frustrating experience. I used a flashlight and a battery lantern to help with the assembly process. Assembly tip 3: Most of the weight of this cabinet is in the front due to it containing the locking pins. You will have to secure this cabinet to a wall. Floor anchoring is not an option. It includes4 expanding 'red head' style anchors to secure to a cinderblock wall. If you are securing to stud wall, then you will need to provide your own fasteners. PROS: 1. I purchased this specific model because it had 4 lock pins. Most importantly, it had a top and bottom door pin. Many of the other comparable units that I researched here on Amazon didn't have top and bottom pins. This cabinet locks securely with the distributed pin insertion points. 2. This model fit my needs by offering rifle storage, shotgun storage, pistol storage, ammo storage, case and range bag storage all in a small footprint. 3. Shelf height is adjustable to your storage needs. 4. The finish is nice, even after assembly. It just looks good from the outside. 5. The electronic lock works. Requires 4 AA alkaline batteries. (Only alkaline. Does not work with rechargeable AA batteries.) Set a combination, and it works. The emergency battery access pack is an added bonus but probably not necessary because the physical keys can open the cabinet if needed. CONS: 1. Requires wall anchoring. Floor anchoring not an option. Includes 4 expanding redhead style anchors. Included anchors will not work in drywall or studs. Most of the weight is in the door assembly, which makes this unit front heavy and succeptible to tipping. 2. You will need to purchase extra lighting. The interior of this cabinet is very dark. It has something on the door that could possibly be called a light, but it doesnt' really offer any relief to the abyssal darkness within. Order additional lights. Summary: I am extremely happy with the purchase of this cabinet. While it is made to look like a safe, it is more of a cabinet with a safe like locking system. The 4 pin locking system is more secure than I expected thanks to the top and bottom pins. For such a small footprint, this cabinet offers more storage than I expected. I am very pleased with my purchase of this cabinet that is sort of a safe if anchored properly.

Affordable compared to other gun safes in the same class. Cons: Heavy and difficult to move once installed. Interior padding could be thicker to prevent scratches. Not ideal for very large collections of firearms. Overall, the KAER 8-12 Gun Safe is a solid, reliable, and affordable option for anyone looking to safely store rifles and handguns at home. It balances security, space, and value effectively.

This safe is solid and well made. The 8–12 rifle capacity and adjustable shelves made organizing my guns easy. The quick access keypad works smoothly, and it feels secure and sturdy. Installation was simple, and it looks great in my home. Very happy with this purchase!

Very happy with this gun locker. It arrived quickly, was packed really well, and went together quickly and easily. I would absolutely buy this again. If you’re looking for more of a “safe” or something fireproof, you’ll want something else, but this is definitely great for securing items for a very reasonable price.

Nice locking cabinet for rifles for the price. It was slightly damaged in shipping, but I was able to bend the metal to where it could still be assembled. I'm giving 3 stars for two reasons. 1) I do not believe this holds the number of rifles that it claims. After putting it together, there is no way this will hold 8-12 rifles. There's just not the room to store them the way they have pictured in the description. It's great for about 5 rifles. And 2) the instructions for programing the lock are a little vague. It took some figuring out to work, and it works great after setting up. I just think the instructions could be more detailed.
