Trying a new decor aesthetic and this beauty is sitting right on display. High quality, the wax flows nicely, and the size of the lamp was surprisingly large lol. Great for that groovy home aesthetic

I love the old-school lava-lamp and keep it at work. Nice conversation piece. Relaxes the mind for a few seconds. Sometimes the office AC is fairly cold and my lamp in near a vent, so sometimes the top of the lamp is too cold and the movement stalls. I think thats what causes that. If its not too cold it works fine. I like the colored light quality with the warm orange and cool purple.

I ordered the Lava lamp and followed the step-by-step instructions. Waited 3-5 hours to warm it up and left it on for 10 hours max. The good The lamp seems to be fairly high quality. Heavy glass, Aluminum, etc. It's solid. The bad The Wax inside didn't float around as it should. When it was fully heated, 90% of the wax would stay at the bottom of the lamp, and every 15 seconds, a single bubble would form and shoot up to the top of the lamp. This would repeat for hours. I validated the metal coil was at the bottom of the bottle (lamp), so this wasn't the problem. I returned the item, using the Amazon "Replace" feature. The vendor sent me a new 2nd lamp. The behavior is 100% the same. I called customer support, and they asked me to send them an email so they could help me troubleshoot the issue. I did this, along with a video of the problem. The email support group sent me a template email that basically told me to check my coil. This didn't solve the problem. They said it was defective so I should return it. Needless to say, they were not helpful. Disappointed it didn't work out. Perhaps I got a bad batch. Who knows. I don't want to waste time with a third lamp, so I'm sending this new one back as well.

OMG! This was the greatest gift for my 10 yr old granddaughter. She loves it! Everyone was amazed at how big it is. Before I wrapped it up for Christmas, I took it out of it's package and put it together, making sure everything was intact. The instructions state to plug it on and let sit for about 1/2 hr to help melt the wax and clear the residual wax, which causes the water to be cloudy. All the pieces were there and intact. No broken lamp or cracked plastic. I left the lamp plugged in for around 2 hrs to completely clear the lamp liquid. This item has exceeded my expectations of a quality Lava Lamp. What a great deal on a quality lamp. Yes, it has plastic parts, but what doesn't these days. I was trying to match the one my grandmother had in the 60's.....no such luck. I hope everyone has a great outcome as I have had!

Beautiful and works great. Better than the smaller version in my opinion.

My grandson lo Ed it. Beautiful colors that float to make unique patterns. Nice size.

Pros: Lower cost Multicolor LED lighting Cons: It overheats quickly (about an hour after the 2 hour warm up) so that the wax breaks into small balls ruining the traditional lava effect. This may be due to the use of a heating element instead of an incandescent bulb. Product packaging states use for only 6-8 hours before a cool down. Summary: Buy the original LavaLamp, the quality and performance is FAR better.

Lamp arrived cloudy and glass chipped. I have contact Lava lamp customer service. They’re great but unfortunately it didn’t fix the cloudiness issue. I tried to get an exchange from Amazon but there customer service is the worst and keep looping saying lamp cannot be return. So annoying

Beyond disappointed. Like many others have commented the quality of these lampsmhas gone downhill. Mine arrived cloudy. Schylling appears to be having this issue since moving production to China. There is no consistency or quality with the new lamps. I like many others will probably have to filter the mast fluid in order to get a clear lamp. I'm beyond disappointed. The company knows and is aware of this issue. They changed the formula and their product is riddled with cloudy master fluid now. I refuse to support a company that knowingly has a problem and refuses to address it. There is no cycling the new lamps. The flow of the wax is also off.
