Was on the fence for a long time on this purchase. After having it for a while I can honestly say this bag is quality all around . It is sturdy and has pleanty of room . This is my daily driver getting pleanty of use back and forth to work. North face makes excellent bags that hold up well.

Great product and recieved from provider very well!This back is is great for the daily commuter or hiker that wants to bring some extras. I usually use this bag to carry stuff for work. This bag can fit a 15.6in laptop of about 1.5 in thickness, 3-1in binders, a planner, few sheets of paper, and other small office accessories to include laptop charger.Pros:Laptop is protected very well by the built in padding.Large main pocket that has side bands to collapse if not full.Durable exterior material with good water resistance.Nice back and shoulder padding.Cons:Personally I wish the secondary pocket extended down to the full length of the bag, but not a dealbreaker since it does carry a lot itself.Bag does not stand in its own... has a slant that's designed to protect the laptop side closest to the bottom of the bag...so it can actually be a good thing.Bottom Line: if you want a comfortable commuter/simple hiking bag that is durable and will hold your laptop with care, this is the bag. If you are trying to cramp your entire life in it, get a hiking bag designed for that.

This thing is awesome. Used for school. Easily fits everything.A lot of the reviews and research I did had me worried that I would have less room than the Recon. Specifically the laptop storage section.I’m able to carry some folders filled with paper work, binder, basic school supplies, small planner, mouse, (A large) laptop charger, and my pride & joy...my 15” Dell G3. I’m a bit over protective of the laptop, especially since the back pack is going to be tossed around with the added weight of books and binders, so because of that I wanted to be able to put the laptop in its own protective case then fit it in to the dedicated section of the backpack. I was concerned if the laptop would even fit at all, not to mention once put in to a case. This was the first thing I tested when I received it and it passed with flying colors. Laptop fits with ease on its own and is snug but not overly tight when I put it in a case and then in to the laptop section. So this was already a win for me at that point.I liked the style/look of this one over recon as well. Don’t know if I’ll ever actually use the bungee straps but I do like the option to use them over an extra storage pouch.

This backpack hold very well! I used it for a school year, and you can hardly tell it was used for that long. One thing I do recommend thought, is that if your going to use this backpack for school, do not place it directly on the ground. Since it is a very sturdy backpack, a part of the bottom will rub against the floors very hard and begin the tear.This backpack has so many pockets, so it’s great for storing everything you probably need.Not expensive either, but I still don’t see myself buying another anytime soon because of how durable these are. Highly recommend!!

This pack is extremely solid. Good padding, comfortable straps, great material quality and overall durability. Fits a lot of things, and has ample pockets and storage for any sort of items (as well as a thick 15" laptop).The only downside is that stood upright, the backpack does not have a flat bottom. This means it has the tendency to fall over when leaned against the wall. Because of this, the front storage pockets will flop over and pull the backpack down, making it even more likely to fall over. This can get pretty annoying.tl;dr: the bottom of the backpack is narrow, forming a 45 degree angle with the wall and the front of the pack. This shifts the center of gravity, and makes the backpack want to fall over if the front is full.Would be 5 stars if it didn't fall over when leaned against the wall.
