The media could not be loaded.  This phone holder has a good MagSafe magnet ring as well as a suction cup for non-MagSafe devices. The MagSafe Magnet holds very well, and I feel very confident that my phone will not fall off. The suction cup does work for the most part, but I did notice my phone likes to slide down the heavy end if I have it horizontally and not in the center. The suction cup works by pressing the back in to push all the air out from behind the suction cup and it has a little lever to release the suction, this works by deforming the suction cup in a way that lets some air in. While the suction cup does work ok, it's just not as strong as the MagSafe magnet, so I would recomend adding MagSafe rings to all devices you want to use with this. I have used a few add-on MagSafe rings and I've had good experience with all of the ones I've tried. This does come with a magsafe ring and it looks very similar to others I have tried.This phone holder does have quite a bit of flexibility in the ways you can twist and turn it, so you should be able to get your phone to a good viewing angle. There are positive clicks as you rotate things, that hold the position very well. The spring-loaded clamp has nice rubber protectors to keep from marking whatever surface you are clamping it to, and it has a 1-1/2" capacity, just barely fitting on the edge of my 1-1/2" countertop. but it did fit and was secure.

I actually liked using this holder for the plane. Once I figured out how to place the clip on the seat in front of me it was super easy to use. The only issue was when the person reclined the chair the phone was to close to my face for comfort. Other than that it made watching movies on a plane enjoyable.

Good magnetic strength and adjustable to fit edge of airplane tray. Not a lot of other uses but good for the purpose.
