***ESSENTIAL FOR REFILLING A TIRED BEAN BAG & BRINGING IT BACK TO LIFE!***
If you're looking to refill or create your own custom bean bag chairs, 10 pounds of bean bag filler is a great starting point. Whether you’ve got an old, sagging bean bag that’s lost its comfort or you're DIYing a new one, this bulk amount offers plenty of flexibility and will ensure you’ve got enough material to achieve the perfect sitting experience.Design & Build Quality:The filler typically comes in the form of tiny microbeads or shredded foam, both of which are lightweight and offer an excellent balance of softness and support. These fillers are often made from high-quality materials that are designed to hold their shape over time, making them ideal for long-term use. The texture of the microbeads is especially nice, offering a smooth, cushiony feel that conforms to your body without feeling too stiff or too squishy. Depending on the type of filler you get, some even offer anti-microbial properties to prevent the build-up of bacteria over time, which is an added bonus.Ease of Use:Filling a bean bag is easier than you might think with 10 pounds of filler. Whether you're topping off a bean bag that’s gone flat or filling a completely new bag, the process is straightforward. The beads are light and easy to handle, and they move smoothly into the bean bag when you’re working with them. Just be sure to keep the filler contained—sometimes it can spill out, and that’s a bit of a mess to clean up. Some bags may come with a funnel or easy pour mechanism to make the process even simpler.Eco-Friendly Factor:Bean bag filler, especially if you're opting for natural fillers like shredded foam, can be a more sustainable option than constantly replacing single-use cushions or mattresses. That said, some fillers are made from synthetic beads, which may not be as environmentally friendly, though they last longer. Always check the manufacturer’s info to see if it’s recyclable or biodegradable if sustainability is important to you.Variety & Customization:10 pounds is a good amount for a medium-sized bean bag chair, but depending on your preferences, you may want to adjust the fill level. This amount gives you plenty of room for trial and error in terms of firmness. You can always add or remove filler until the seat is just right, which is one of the best parts about filling your own bean bags. It’s customizable, and you get to decide exactly how plush or firm you want it.Durability:Bean bag fillers are generally very durable, especially if you're using high-quality microbeads or memory foam. 10 pounds should be enough to rejuvenate an old bean bag or give a new one lasting comfort for years to come. The only thing you’ll need to keep an eye on is whether the filler starts to lose shape over time. For microbeads, they may flatten out slightly with heavy use, which will require a top-off after a couple of years. Memory foam tends to compress a bit slower but may need a fluff every now and then.Downsides:The biggest downside of using 10 pounds of filler is the amount of space it can take up if you're working with a lot of filler at once. If you're refilling a large bean bag, you may find yourself needing more than 10 pounds to achieve the desired fullness or comfort level. Additionally, the beads can sometimes escape through small openings, which means extra caution is needed when filling or adjusting. Conclusion:Overall, 10 pounds of bean bag filler is a solid investment for those looking to refresh an old bean bag or create a new one. It provides ample customization in terms of comfort and firmness, making your sitting experience both plush and supportive. The quality is typically great, with many fillers lasting for years before needing a refill. If you’re someone who values comfort and durability in their furniture, this product is a must-have for maintaining the ultimate lounging spot.

5lb Bag Was Enough
WHEN IT ARRIVES:The 5lb bag arrives with all the air sucked out, so it comes in a very small package. I recommend having a large box or large bin nearby so that when you open the package you can pour all the stuffing into the large bin, and let it sit for a while to expand. I let mine sit for 10 minutes. There is a slight chemical smell, but letting it sit will allow that smell to dissipate.WHAT I USED IT FOR:The back-cushions on my old 8ft sofa were sagging.HOW I DID IT:I tipped my couch backward and unzipped the bottom of each cushion. (Yes, if your couch cushions are attached, you have hidden zippers under each one.) I kept the old PolyFill, but added the new stuffing equally into each cushion. Just get your hand in there and spread it around evenly.RESULTS:The 5lb bag was the perfect amount. And it gave new life to my sofa. We also put a 7 foot piece of hard cardboard to give support to the cushions we sit on. I can't afford a new couch, so doing these two things will give us another year or so with this old one.

Nice Loft
My favorite latex pillows were beginning to lose their loft so I've added this to them, with wonderful results. Had enough left to do this several times and fill a couple more pillows... Very generous amount in 10 lbs.

Unfortunate smell
It's a nice, soft foam, and fills my bean bag nicely. Only downside is the unfortunate stale smell it picked up from the recycling facility where it was shredded and packed. The smell does go away with a bit of febreze, but it is unpleasantly strong out of the bag. It's messy to work with, though, as the bags are simple vacuum-sealed bags and there's no clean way to dump the vacuum-packed pieces into a bean bag.

Good value
Worked great. I actually Used too much and have to now take some out, so my suggestion would be to take your time filling so you can see how much volume you have.

Beware of Off-gassing
Beware of off-gassing. It could take weeks. Serious Precaution: Never use this foam in a room with an infant or senior.

Perfect to refill sagging bean bag chairs
Don't let the condensed bag fool you when it arrives, puffs right up when you follow the directions on the bag. Used it to refill bean bag chairs for my classroom. The filling capacity of one bag per chair worked great. The chairs were like new again. Much less expensive than buying new chairs every school year.

It was not what we expected.
These are ok for what we used them for but it would have ben better if they weren't vacuum sealed. Because of this its a lot more work to get them apart then it should be.
