WWZMDiB CP2112 Adapter Micro USB to SMBus I2C Communication with Wires

Ease of use:Great product, performed perfectly, successfully managed to reset my DJI Mavic Air battery after it had stopped charging due to the voltage dropping too low.

Requires THT soldering of multi-pin connector to board. Works as described with Battery Killer software and provided cables/wire set.

Here is some missing documentation: It has 4.7K pull ups for SCL and SDA. R1 and R2 select the I/O voltage (see product photo- the SOT23 is a 1.8V regulator). zero-ohm jumper in R2 for 3.3V (the default), or in R1 for 1.8V. It would be even better if it had a voltage translator for any target voltage.

I bought this to reset the Battery Management System in a DJI drone battery. It works great, I like the included cables. It did what it was supposed to do with the battery, although it didn't resolve the problem. But it did help me discover the actual issue which is that one of the cells is too low for the BMS. In any case this will be a good little project board to have in the toolbox for other similar jobs.

Works one time, then proceeds to just go to crap. The usb cable is terrible and I had to use one I had lying around. It worked for what I needed once, I attempted to use it again for another part and boom, doesn't even get picked up by my PC and just gets extremely hot in the middle. I know how to use these things so I beginning to suspect its just cheaply made junk. I went through 2 of these and I'm over it. Sucks because I need this little thing for my project.
