Wood Polish Spray, Wood Cleaner with Moisturising Oil, Gently Cleans and Shines, Almond Natural Scent, Pack of 1, 354ml

So, I've been using this on a range of solid wood, wood veneer, and wood effect furniture for some time now. I don't polish my furniture often, but I've probably gone through two or three bottles over several years. First, the pros: It smells nice, if rather a strong scent, and seems to clean well. It can handle dust and minor dirt just fine, leaving a gentle shine and no unpleasant residue. However, there are significant cons: It cleans a little *too* well - on several items of furniture that have dark stain or varnish, it has gradually stripped off the finish over time, leaving them patchy and with significantly lightened edges. It is also not particularly moisturising for the wood - on items of raw wood furniture, it seems to have actually dried them out, leaving the surface rough with a pale white cast. Folks who are allergic to fragrances or sensitive to strong smells should avoid, as the perfume can be overpowering and lingers for some time (around a day after the product is used). It cannot handle significant dirt, or sticky stains and the like, so you'll need another cleaner first for anything that's particularly grubby. Also, most of it seems to soak into the cloth, not the wood, when rubbing it in, so you end up using a lot of product. Overall, it's not that impressive or effective, and I've decided after an extensive trial that I won't be buying another bottle. Definitely patch test it a few times before using on any furniture. Some basic linseed oil, teak oil, or beeswax would be a better choice.

Can not be used on wood floors Bought as it says to clean wood floors . Item received fine , smells lovely but states on bottle NOT to be used on wooden floors as can make slippy only to use on wooden furniture.

Great product, which I’ve been using for a few years now. However, the top came off in transit covering all my items with furniture polish as well as my hall floor. When I tried to get a refund, the system said this product was no eligible.

Did i receive something different to the rest of the buyers who have reviewed this product? Yes it has a lovely smell, but it did not clean so good! I tested it on an old solid wood trunk i have, following the instructions, i cleaned half the trunk with this product then stood back and checked it out. I could see no difference at all. The treated side looked no cleaner,. won't be buying anymore

Having read the rave reviews I thought I’d try this product for myself. I mean, who wouldn’t want their house smelling of almonds? Well yes, it smells of almonds but that is where the good review ends. This product left a thick almost waxy layer on everything I’d polished. I tried to buff it away but it wasn’t having any of it. Maybe I’d used it incorrectly I thought, so tried applying it in a different way with a different cloth. Same result. Except this time the weird waxy layer has a white / grey sheen to it. When I say waxy, I’ve used furniture wax and this finish is nothing like that. Furniture wax leaves a more plyable finish. This is stiff and hard - like trying to remove crayon marks. Not being one to give in easily, I persisted. I tried different cloths, applying to cloth first, applying direct to furniture first, buffing, not bugging but nothing changed. I am really disappointed as I have heard great things about this product but it’s sadly ruined the look (and feel!) of wood in my house. I’ll be googling how to remove this polish and lobbing this spray in the bin. TL/DR: this product is pants

Don't bother, it doesn't work which is sad because it smells good.

The bottle had leaked within the plastic bag it was wrapped in (within the larger cardboard box). I am now told I cannot return the item or get any redress for this being only half of what I have paid for.

I bought this thinking it was suitable for wooden floor cleaner as it is advertised in the name and description but when it arrived the bottle has a on "not for use on floors" statement. I am very disappointed.

... wird dieses Reinigungsmittel lieben. Ich hab mir einiges von Method gekauft, weil ich gerne umweltbewusst reinige und dennoch auf guten Geruch nicht verzichten möchte. Es reinigt so, wie ich es mir von einem Reinigungsmittel in dieser Preiskategorie erwarte, hinterlässt keine Schlieren auf den Möbeln und pflegt diese auch noch dazu. Einfach perfekt.

Questo prodotto mi ha lasciata di stucco! Lascia il legno pulito perfettamente senza aloni e luminoso! L'importante é non eccedere con le quantità! É uno spruzzetto ecologico quindi se avete molti ripiani in legno da pulire e specialmente bambini in casa é stra consigliato perché non contiene nulla di tossico. Il profumo di mandorla é davvero piacevole, ma non é troppo forte da essere fastidioso. La confezione é piccola, neanche 400 ml , però ne vale la pena per la salute di tutta la famiglia e per la bellezza del legno nel tempo! Ve lo consiglio !
