Love these lights- they look amazing once installed and really elevate the house at night. Important install tip: Do not rely only on the adhesive backing. If you do, they’ll eventually start peeling off one by one and end up looking cheap. Take the extra time to screw them in properly- it makes all the difference. I’d rank this as outstanding customer service regardless of whether or not I need to get replacement lights. I still very much love the lights, and felt heard by the company. The colors are clear, easily adjustable, and vibrant. Installing was a welcome challenge and we are certainly one of the more eye-catching homes on the block. The app is mostly easy to navigate and our girls have enjoyed themselves immensely while adjusting the settings and moods However, less than two months after I got them hung up; an entire strand is already out. Totally and completely out. I did every troubleshooting measure I knew, checked and triple checked all connections, and made sure there was no physical damage. For as much as I spent on them, (150ft length) it is disappointing that an entire string of 12 lights is already out. If I’d written a review a week after installation, it would’ve been a full 5 stars because we’re obsessed with the product overall. But I can’t in good faith because we don’t even get through the Christmas season before losing an entire section of our lighting. Hoping someone from Govee can help me out. After finally getting rid of our old LED C5 string lights, we decided it was time to invest in a better alternative. Govee's Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 seemed to be the perfect solution. Lights that are permanently affixed under the soffit, protected from the wind, rain, snow and sun. The lights are bright with sharp colors. The app is intuitive with a ton of presets and offers many ways to fully customize your lights for any occasion or for daily use. The 50ft length was a perfect option as we have a fairly small house and only light the front. I ordered and installed these in late November 2025 which was unusually cold for the east coast, so I picked the warmest day I could get (-15c). Pretty cold for the 3M to stick. After cleaning the surface thoroughly with alcohol, my trick was to use hand warmers for a good 10-15 seconds on both the surface and the 3M sticker simultaneously. This created enough warmth for the 3M to properly stick to the soffit. I then attached the provided clips for added security. I went through the attic and back down through the ceiling with the provided extension to plug the power adapter and controller so they're nice and protected from the elements. Everything has worked perfectly so far in all kinds of cold weather and snow. Very satisfied with this product.

I finally decided to get these and installed them on the last day in fall before it got below 0C. They installed very easy! Just used the double sided tape that came with it and it’s been holding up in -45C in Winnipeg!

Works great, everything works off the app lights are nice and bright but can also be dimmed if wanted. The clips or holders that come with the lights work great I used them on every light so that everything is tight as they screw into the facia. Best part now is that I won’t be climbing a ladder twice a year to put up and take down lights
