This is the most amazing kit!! I’ve worked in many natural history museums, so this kit reminded me of those days. There are few words in the instructions, but all the parts are labeled very well and the illustrations are great. The entire kit is very well organized and the materials are high quality. There was one piece that was mislabeled and a bit too wide (a YouTuber had the same experience), but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The scene looks so real, down to the individual books and sketches. I’m less than a quarter of the way in and enjoying every minute!

This is my first puzzle I’ve done and I found the directions to be very easy to follow. I plan on doing more. Would love to have more Harry Potter options

I have built this kit twice. It is my personal favorite book nook. There are many good things about this particular kit to recommend it. Firstly, it is a MiniCity product, and that always means it will be a quality item. The MiniCity book nook kits all come with quality glue, a tack hammer, useful metal tweezers, a sanding file, and a detailed full-color large format instruction manual. Other kits at the same price point do not include all of these items, or have much weaker instruction manuals. Many of their kits also can be downloaded so you can zoom in on illustration. They also provide an email address for free replacement parts and other support. I have no relationship with MiniCity, but I have built many book nooks by them and by other companies, and find that they are a top provider. Yes, I am a fan of their products! I appreciate that the "book with pages" that need to be accordion folded have the pages scored to make the folding easier. This has been a real pain to so in the past with stickers and no scoring. The umbrella you need to fold is similarly scored to simplify its creation. The LED lights have color-coded wires that simplifies identifying which light to select when wiring them. There is a full inventory list at the start of the manual, and each section of the instruction highlights the board to be used in that stage of assembly. The finished prodcut is unique and striking. Recommended project.

just what i was looking for for a gift

I have built over 30 book nook kits in the last year and this kit was one of my most enjoyable. The design and artwork are great. Parts production, printing and ease of assembly are first rate. Most parts are designed to fit together with expandable tabs and few require any glue at all. Parts include beautifully printed gold wood, plus paper, cardboard, plastic and plexiglass. It even includes a tiny working stamp for the emperor’s desk. All in all a real masterpiece and puts many other kits to shame.

super fun, have to be careful when popping put the pieces but i love it, did it in 48 hours

It was first time we'd built one of these kits. Had a fun time doing so. The instructions were are times a little difficult to follow, but we figured it out. This has LED lighting which goes bright with a touch, but remains dimly lit otherwise. I wish there was a complete shut off button so not to use up the batteries. Looking into buying another built kit.

Sleeping Beauty is really beautiful and so detailed. It was worth the week of work I put into it. I have made 70-75 booknooks over the last 4 years and have to admit I had a hard time with some of the steps. The images in the manual were not sharp enough, so much time was spent on studying placement, but took my time. The pieces are sturdy; no issue with breakage. The lighting was easy (8) of them. The manual is 40 pages in color. The rated difficulty should be higher than stated in listing. If you are experienced with model building, I highly recommend it. This is not a build for beginners
