Help your body heal from anxiety & tension
This book was exactly what I needed. I have severe anxiety, my nervous system has been out of wack for the last few years & my physical pain has gotten worse over time from all of the stress & tension my body was holding onto. I couldn’t put this book down, every page was enlightening, it seemed to have been written just for me! I am feeling much better after following the advice in the book. This will be one that I keep & continue to re-read.

Great book!
Great book, intro is a little redundant but it has quality pictures and routines to follow. Great information and it reminds me to slow down and explore what I’m feeling rather than just rush through the poses!

Great how to book
This is a great book for beginners. The author opens by explaining what somatic exercises are and what their goals are. This includes an explanation of what the benefits may be. Then we get into the exercises. Each is explained well and has good step by step directions that are easy to follow. Everything is put together for you, so it is all figured out.

Alignment
So far from what I have read this very much aligns with Tantra and awareness of the body. Because we are are own medicine and being aware of our body and how we move can heal some damage. Will be trying some of the exercises soon. I have had back pain for years and am on a journey to lose weight and I think this book will help for sure.

Get Balance Through Movement
I've been doing a lot of chair exercises for strength and mobility. The whole concept of somatic exercising is extremely appealing. It's all about mind-body connection. It's another way to distress and stay flexible and healthy. This kind of exercising allows you to get really focused on what you're feeling while moving. The exercises are not hard. When you go through the simple routines, you end up feeling less tension and almost light. Somatic exercise is a good way to stay strong and limber and drown out the noise in your head. My me time was always quiet, but now incorporating movement with it takes everything to another level. It's a great way to alleviate tension in your shoulders. I'm definitely a fan.

Informative and Practical
Loved reading through this informative book! It provided a lot of background of somatic exercises. The author discusses the many benefits of somatic exercises. It explains how somatic exercise can help improve flexibility, relieve stress, and so much more. It was great to gain a stronger understanding of the benefits that can be achieved. But what I really liked was the charts in the back. The author built a plan for those (like me) who are beginning to practice somatic exercises. This is very useful and helpful for getting started. At the end, it has a one-month plan that is very helpful.

This book has it all! This book offers a great introduction to somatic exercises, introductory and advanced exercises, exercises for specific situations and an easy to follow 30 day plan for implementing somatic exercises into your daily life. Although the exercises only take 10 minutes, these exercises can make your whole day better or turn a bad day around.
