I got this for my husband as he is finding his way into the grooming department as a way to sterilize and warm the rag he uses on his head before adding his durag on as a means to creating waves. Not sure how that process is going but I know he does this religiously every night sets his rag in the box wet, sets it to a particular temp of his liking and for the most part from what I can tell rather enjoys this process so maybe not for waves but as a relaxing thing to do before bedtime. His impressions are: Not to big or bulky. Like how they're handles so it's easy to carry. After using it for a couple days you will definitely need to see what temp and time works best for you. But overall I love using it. So in all cases I do believe this is a winner and it helps me not to have to worry about him using other means to heat this rag up around the house so that i will take. We don't use it for other reasons such as sterilizing tools or utensils so that part I can't speak to for reference.
