This book is really well done
There's a great combination of information in this book. I just received it a few days ago, so I'm not quite finished yet but I'm so impressed with how it's laid out. The information is presented in a way that beginner friendly, while including much more lore and details than typical beginner materials. I can tell this will be a book I reference often, and not just read once and put away. The herbs listed are wonderful because most are also pretty easily accessible. Highly recommend!

An incredible and inviting blend of folkloric floriculture, animism and charming for all witches
Roger J Horne is the most important name in folk (traditional) witchcraft and folk magic right now. His works are commonsense, effective and fascinating to read without the pretentious, and mostly worthless trappings found in too many books of a similar ilk.I own all of his works, often in multiple editions, and have read all of them many times over. His books are always on my bedside table, they're that good. His works have had immense influence on my practice and expanded what I believed was possible. My practice of 30+ years has been reborn, confirming you can teach an old dog new tricks. The Charmer's Root is no exception. Although I have only skimmed the contents and read the first two chapters (I only received it today lol), I'm excited to explore and use the techniques he offers. Everything Roger writes is gold and, like all his books, the bibliography is an absolute goldmine of knowledge. You won't be disappointed. - Anthony Rice
