I have always wanted to have a journalling Bible. Then I got this. It just feels so perfect to have this bible with me. This helps me to know Jesus in a creative way, I scribbles down my faith and convictions here 💕

Not what I imagined when I ordered it
By the time I ordered this bible it was not yet published and no pictures of the inside of it were available. It was, however, advertised as printed on quality writing paper with extra wide, blank margins for adding your own notes, drawings, etc. While the pages are indeed a little bit thicker and sturdier than those in usual bibles, they are by no means what I would call quality writing paper.I was somehow under the impression that the paper would be thick enough for no shadowing of the print to occur. Unfortunately this impression wasn't met.The only actual thick pages with no shadowing at all are the ones with the pre-printed artwork on them. They feel like light cardstock to the touch and may even allow reasonable water colouring without soaking through, but I haven't tried it yet.One problem I have with the printed artwork is that it seems to have been placed totally at random inside the bible. The artwork in Exodus features verses from Genesis and Numbers, the one in Proverbs features Matthew, Ezekiel features Romans.... This makes no sense to me whatsoever. And why the artwork of 1 Peter 2:9 has to be a full page of different kind of shoes is beyond me.Upon first opening the bible some pages stuck together with tiny spots of what appeared to be some sort of glue. I was able to carefully peel them apart, though. On various pages throughout the bible occurs a bit of smearing from what I believe to be printing ink. It's not too bad and I might be able to cover it up with my own art, but it shouldn't have been there in the first place. The white background cover of the spine shows signs of usage already from just laying the bible open on a wooden table and colouring in one single page. Because I plan on sliding the bible into a handsewn cover anyways it doesn't bother me much, but it's worth noting.I'm keeping the bible because 1) I really like the unlined wide margins 2) I'm from Germany, it takes a long time for oversea postages to arrive, and I already waited several weeks to get this one 3) I'm keen on starting my bible art journaling journey somewhere at last.If I could have just returned it to a local store and get any other journaling bible instead and at the spot, I would have probably done so.Most likely I'll end up buying another journaling bible in the future, but for now this one will have to do.

Great if you like making notes on margins.
I love it. Beautiful illustrations. Wide margins. The letters are not that big but I manage to read them more or less easily.Wish there was a bit bigger size. This one is good for travel etc. The paper is fine. Almost perfect.

Great gift for any believer and a lovely keepsake for a christening.
Purchased to encourage myself to stick to a 365 days tour of the bible. Really good quality and love the space to be able to record my thoughts and understanding. Plus colouring pages are thicker so prevent damage to written pages.

Lovely Bible, colouring less so
Beautiful Bible, but the colouring pages are nothing to do with the part of the Bible they are placed in, and the drawings are not very intricate, making them a little dull to colour. Also, the paper the drawings are on is too thin, and you can't use pen on them without going through to the picture on the other side and ruining it.That said, if you don't mind using pencil, it is a lovely quality journalling Bible
