Victorinox Swiss Army Knife - Work Champ - 21 Functions, Multitool, Red - 111 mm

Its Swiss made, Its Victorinox and its a Work Champ! Enough Said!Be extremely careful while handling it, The blade is deceiving at the first sight, all the tools look as if they are harmless but are extremely sharp, try cutting a paper to understand what I mean.Never try to open and close any other tools while the main blade is open - Its really scary to close other tools while the blade is waiting to cut anything that comes its way.Will discover more of its applications in time. Meanwhile, will get used to opening and closing the tools the right way.

This is an original product made in Switzerland - all 111 mm models with these scales look and feel like this, different from the 91 mm models with cellidor scales. And these sellers are definitely authentic. Not to worry, this is not a knock-off.Now, differences between the old and the new Workchamp models0.9064 - has a side lock in the scales for the main blade. And the bottle opener doesn't lock, is smaller, and less suitable to be used as a prying tool. This is no longer manufactured. I personally like this version better because the side lock is more tactile and easier. It also has wider wood and metal saws, so it 'feels' sturdier (not sure if it actually is better), albeit they are of the same length. And, the main blade doesn't have half-stop for safer closure.0.8564 - Has a liner lock for the main blade, as well as for the larger bottle opener that can be used as a light prying tool, so this tool is slightly wider overall. And both the main blade and the larger bottle opener have half-stops. This version may be a better, more evolved design.Also, due to the above differences in the locks, the arrangement of the remaining tools are also different. In the new model, the file is at one end, not near the center as it is in the older one.BOTH MODELS HAVE ALL THE TOOLS, nothing missing from either one, save for the added lock to the larger bottle-opener/ light prying tool in the newer one, and the half-stop in it's main blade.I have attached photos of the differences - the older 0.9064 on the left, and the newer 0.8564 on the right.Sellers may feel free to send such questions to me for technical answers in future. Pros: amazing product. I carry it in my pocket often.the sharpness is amazing, i cut my thumb playing with all the tools.wood saw teeth are like shark teeth.Cons: some attachments need to be opened to open nested tools beneath. Led, ballpen would had made work champ the best ever model.

Firstly delivery: pathetic packaging. Box was very very old & torn. Knife had come totally out of box inside the plastic bag that it was shipped with. Felt like a very old stock. Even the knife had fresh oil on all the components.Product: Initially I thought it was a fake one. If you’re familiar with victorinox pocket knifes, you are used to the classic sound of opening & especially closing sound of the components. But this 111 mm models don’t have that classic sound in all components. Especially the blade being a lockable one, it doesn’t close like a typical blade on any conventional victorinox knifes. Many tools felt different. However the corkscrew has that Signature sound when closed without mini screwdriver attached. The wood saw also lacked a neat finishing & looked ordinary.But after some research & testing of all tools separately, I could realise that all 111mm variants are built like this. It’s different. Quality of the product is excellent. One of the Best knifes you can own in your life. Blade feels solid when locked. Saw is amazing. Files are top notch. Pliers are basic. Scissors are awesome. All 5 major tools are fantastic. Other tools are as standard as expected. Only 2 things I miss in this is the pin hole under the corkscrew & a pen. Apart from that, the best knife of all time. Fortunately for me, prices increased by ₹1400/- the next day of my purchase. However now it’s model number is also new as per SAK latest catalogue available on their site.If you need a medium duty multitool with great quality & which has almost everything, then don’t look beyond this. This is an excellent tool for anybody.Keeping this tool in your pocket will definitely come in handy one day.About this item, it's very handy and ergonomic, the blade is extremely good and maintains a good edge for a long time and after repeated usage. The saw even though is small but it can cut down branches five times the size of the saw, the thickness of the saw is also better than the bigger pruning saws.The only drawback I find in this product is that the pliers are small. Overall this tool is the best multitool I have come across
