MYOC Germall Plus Natural Preservative, Clear Liquid, Suitable for Making Soap, Conditioners, Lotion, Creams and More (60 ml (2 Fl Oz))

This product is really helpful if you like to mix up your own lotions, creams, serums, cosmetics, etc. and want them to last. My understanding is that you should only use this in topically applied products, so I am not using it in things like saline nasal spray or vitamin C serum used for microneedling. It would be really helpful if the company would provide more information on when to use this product vs. the Germall product as I am unclear on which one should be used for what purposes, but I'm happy with this product!

The last brand I picked up did not disclose the ingredients or have any guidance on use, so this brand is definitely a step ahead. I do think they should list the ingredients in this listing: Diazolidinyl urea and Iodopropynyl butylcarbamate A brief search shows that both of these are good for preventing microbial growth in cosmetic products. They also recommend mixing 0.1%-0.2% by weight, so this tiny bottle will treat between 100-200 ounces of product. I have seen others online and this listing saying that it can be used up to 0.5% by weight. It's really hard to gauge the performance of this product, but based on the ingredients and recommended mix ratio this should work to extend the life of products, keep them fresh, and prevent spoiling issues.

I make my own lotions, toners and liquid soap. All products that include water require some sort of preservative. This Germall Plus is a good choice for this purpose. You need a good quality scale to measure the exact amount. I make this skincare products for myself, so I don't send it to the lab for analysis, but my products looks and smells fine.

Hard to review this product. It came on time and it came intact. sealed well and not leaking. Glad to have it!

I feel that by adding the MYOC Germall Plus Natural Preservative to my homemade scrubs adds a layer of protection and integrity to the product. This product blends well with the oil I use. I do feel it gives my products a little longer shelf life based on past experience. While I've used various preservatives, this one provided more information about the product itself.

I'm happy that this came, I am currently trying to make my own soaps, and this definitely helps.
